Honestly I'm surprised that Apple were the first with the 24 MP resolution, seems like something an Android manufacture would have done for bragging rights
They were also the first to do the 2x crop from the high resolution sensor... seems like Apple is leading the pack when it comes to "innovations" regarding higher megapixels
I just have the feeling that Samsung has been doing last minutes changes based on the iphone 15 Pro Max like the 24MP and going back to 5X optical zoom in detriment of the 10X optical zoom and I'm super skeptical of the actual results. I hope I'm 100% wrong.
@amstudiosPine Maybe but the way I see it, obviously close to the release day there are more and more leaks but there were few leaks before the Iphone 15 series release. It's suspicious that after, now Samsung is going back to 5X optical zoom and even more surprisingly 24MP image quality, something not even heard of before iphone 15 Pro Max release. I might be wrong but too much coincidence to me.
timing for the leaks is important for companies, basically it is another way of marketing their products when their competitors have already released their products in the markets so they make people wait for their release date and decide before they spend their money on the IPhone 15 or whatever phone is released before the Samsung, in short leaks are a great & not that old way of selling greater volumes than the competoitors in the market
It's left to see what the real life results will be. I look forward to full reviews after it's launched and a head to head camera comparison with the iPhone 15 Pro max

I think Samsung should've gone for their own custom glass like Huawei's kunlun glass. For years gorilla glass improves but it's still fragile & way behind the competition
12MP is still the optimal resolution in my opinion, many texting apps and even RCS are still going to compress photos to ~3MB, and 12MP is 3000x4000 pixels which is already sharp enough for most things, especially on a phone's display
Also thinking the same..12mp is somewhat enough..the picture are pretty decent and sharp enough for normal usage..just spare the extra large pixels for actual camera..since some smarthones are coming with build in ugly large camera bump..small lenses are more preferable..the extra room on the smartphone can be make as an extra cooling feature..
Its nice to see phones getting stronger as in more resilient from outer damage since their prices don't go any lower. Mini heart attack every time it slips.
Has the frame ever been the weak part of a phone? The only really fragile thing is the screen and the back glass, the frame is more than sturdy enough regardless of material.
Unless they can make glass that's harder than keys, dust particles, or other things in your bag or pockets, then glass *will* scratch. It won't break as easily, or get like deep scratches below surface level, but it will get micro scratches. The same way how plastic scratches easier, but it won't shatter no matter how hard you try. Unless they use sapphire glass, which would drive up prices exponentially. We can't have that, because then, people would say that they would rather have micro scratches than pay $4000 for a normal phone. But then again, it will shatters easily, because it's more rigid. That's partly why it's more resistant to scratching. So we sadly can't have both. That's just science (Physics? Chemistry? Geology?).
Same here. Getting a new model yearly is an update. Giving it 2-3 years is an upgrade. I love my s23 ultra. Already does more than i need it for. Just nice to have some of those features if i might need them
The S25 Ultra probably won't look different from the S24 Ultra since the S24 would have just refreshed their design. But the 25 Uktra should finally offer some better charging speed at least

My Beige S23 Ultra is still Scratch free, I got it about 1 week earlier than release day! I've dropped my brand new Graphite S23 Ultra twice now - no scratches and it slid on the floor at Walgreens! 😮 maybe you use yours WAY more than me!😮
A more ressistent glass screen would alsobmake it more scrachable More scratch resistant would make it Lee durable You have to choose, we cant have both in one metarial

I feel better 50 X; is better than 10 MPs 100 X. Because they usually do up to 30 X with 3 x lens. So 50 x will be most likely possible thing. And obviously 5 X lens is getting better.

Haha s23ultra photo processing is horrible way to much oversharpning and unrealistic colour I was actually quite sad with the camera after upgrading from my previous pixel 6 pro
I don't like photography I'm now in El Salvador and my sister took pictures in the day and night ij the beach with my s23 ultra and it's really good sharp and colourful again I'm not into photography but it's good enough @TechTalkTV
