Great list. I recently played Heat and liked it a lot! I'm also a big fan of Thunder Alley and the way it captures the feel of team-based stock car racing.
Cubitos was one of those games that the guy who buys every game bought brings to game night once or twice and tells you how great the game is and you never see it again as they bring another greatest game for the next two weeks!
Cubitos is great but when i play it with my son or nieces they thrash me. Its like Quacks, kids have no idea of calculating risk so just merrily go nuts and seem to get away with it while I go bust/explode my cauldron.😂
That's fair! I just wanted to know if it was up for your consideration in your list. There's just something I love about that game when you boost your car over the finish line, crumbling it down to it's last piece to just eeek out a victory. I'll be looking up some of the games from you list for sure though. :)
I always enjoyed Snow Tails, but it seems like the last revision only had one printing, and as a result very few people have ever played it. Great vid, as always!
Haha... been getting into modern board gaming lately so have been shopping around RUclipsrs to see who to follow for recommendations (much like I do with video gaming channels) and I did not expect someone in this style. Good shit, total Chad of a board gamer.
You convinced me to buy Ave Caesar in a previous video. I just ordered the Dice Tree version and it is supposed to come Saturday. Can't wait to give it a try. Just need to figure out where I can find sleeves to fit those cards. Oddest card size in my whole collection.
My top ten racing games: 1. Rallyman: DIRT / Rallyman: GT 2. Formula D 3. Gaslands: Refuelled 4. Jamaica 5. Ave Caesar 6. Beppo der Bock 7. Fiese Kühe 8. Stockers 9. Giro Galoppo 10. Thunder Alley
A few non-bollocks racing games for your consideration - 'Snow Tails' (dog-sled racing), 'Odin's Ravens' (racing ravens, errr), and two old timers 'Formula One' (obviously racing cars from Waddingtons as was) and 'Pole Position' (from Piatnik).
Surprised not to see Downforce/Top Race on here - though perhaps that's more a betting game than a racing game? Similar blocking mechanic to Ave Caesar.
Downforce is one of my favorites. I had the Daytona 500 game when I was little and this is just an F1 version of that. Same movement cards but on a road course instead of Daytona.
I seems like some good games. I haven't tried all of them. I favourite Racing Games are Odins Ravens, Ave Caesar and The Oracle of Delphi. I also remember once playing a dog sled racing game called Snow Tails that was very unique and I enjoyed, but I don't think that it's in print anymore.
I really like dice game it kinda of a addiction sadly i don't have a lot of them... Think about scouring the for free print and play to scratch the itch
Awesome video as always! Now I have to find a copy of pitchcar and power boats! Curious if Thunder Road doesn’t make the list because you haven’t played or because it’s complete dog sh-t? It’s one of my favorite guilt pleasure games right now 😂
Thank you for this great list. Sorry to say I have only played 3 of these games. I don´t like the Heat game. To me this game could be about anything. I didn´t get the race feeling at all. Formula D I do like a lot. But the best of them all must be as you put it at first place, Ave Caesar. Simple and you could block your opponents using the cards right, and a bit of luck. I bought my copy, Ravensburg, in 1989, and loved it ever since. Easy to learn, easy to teach but not so easy to master
For halloween could you go through zombies!!! by twilight creations and all 15!!! of its expansions that would be a great video/sting of vids. for me at least haha
Great top 10, recently got cheap copy(£10) of Formula D for the club I run...went down an absolute blast. Likin the look of Ave Caesar maybe to add to club collection. Btw, thank f**k for straightforward, no-nonsense reviews here... Broken Meeple site is turning into a waiting room at your local GPs full of old coffin dodgers, where all ya hear is moaning n whining about the weather(too sunny apparently lolol) and medical ailments...jeez, bore us to tears with your problems Luke, why doncha???!!
That being said, this channel and Broken Meeple are the only 2 channels I know where I can get decent & objective reviews. Any other you could recommend?
Tbh I like my relatively dry Euros, and very similar tastes to Dan from Chairman of the Board channel. So, if you like them, give him a try...though don't expect to be hugely entertained or wowed by his charm, wit and repartee. But I do like his channel.
I have the original Ave Caeser and can confirm Leeds Utd are the best, sorry got carried away, it is my fav racing game. Would have Charioteer and Circus Maximus in there as well. Infamy, infamy…
hands down the best thumbnail yet.
Thanks for continuing to update your top 10 racing games to include recent outstanding games! One of my favorite genres
Great list. I recently played Heat and liked it a lot! I'm also a big fan of Thunder Alley and the way it captures the feel of team-based stock car racing.
I have TA and have been trying to trade it away for a couple of years with no luck. Heyho
Great list. But what about Speed Circuit (Avalon Hill, 1977) ? The best car racing simulation. The only game, imo, that feels like an actual car race.
Thanks for the video! Interesting list. I would also add RallymanGT.

Excellent list! Thanks for the video!
Downforce? Thunder Road?
Downforce is fine. Thunder road is junk
@@BoardGameBollocks Mille Bourne is a classic but not very modern
Fantastic video, as always!
Thanks mate 😊👍🏻🍺
Have you played Steam Punk Rally?!?! That would be on my list for sure.
Yes we have it. But I could only choose 10.
That's fair! I just wanted to know if it was up for your consideration in your list.

Almost made it but it’s a bit fiddly

What’s a chad?
Nicely done, as always.

There’s a thread on BGG with a link for the sleeves
I think a mate of mine has Ave Caeser, I'll have to try it.
Thanks
Where did you buy it from? I've been looking for it since I started following this channel about a year a go. It must be the rarest game on earth!!!
@@dazzola I'm in the U.S. and Amazon has it in stock right now for $50.
have you ever tried "steam punk rally"? what are your thoughts?
I have it and it’s fine…
Nice list. Now I gotta find some.
Thunder Rolls...? haven't played it or didn't like it?
Impossible to find over here
My top ten racing games:
1. Rallyman: DIRT / Rallyman: GT
2. Formula D
3. Gaslands: Refuelled

5. Ave Caesar
6. Beppo der Bock
7. Fiese Kühe

It's absolutely an amazing racing game!

Why is everyone in Ave Ceasar racing a different direction?
Harlton Cheston
How many copies of Heat are needed in one board game group? It will be like Taverns or Lost Ruins....just too many people with copies
Thank you. Have you tried Formula 1 from WADDINGTONS (1962) ?
Royal Turf/Winner's Circle, Um Reifenbreite and Ready Set Bet are ones that are also good to mention.
I did say that Horse Racing/Betting games won’t be included.
But... But... camel (c)up is not horse racing!
Touche old bean
@@AndreSamosir Camel cup a betting game :-)
the board gaming industry would collapse if people didn't rebuy games they already have
Too true
Sounds just like the video game industry to me.
No, video gamers buy games they don’t play. Wait…
Formula D is a favourite!
Shout out for gaming with your kids pal. Going to check out Dino Race to play with my wee lads, if i can find one. 🤜🏻⚡️🤛🏻

@@BoardGameBollocks awhh bollocks.. I guess I’d settle for just the base game, great vids as always mate!
Downforce? Or too much focus on bidding?
It’s a bit musty

Are you familiar with Ron Jeremy's "Tug Tug" racing game?
I’m afraid not. I’m hung like a horse…
No Downforce? It's a really fun game
Number 11
*uploads new video*
Time to diaper up and piss yourself 😂
Speak for yourself 😂
Heat is great but Ave Caesar rules!
people love top 10 lists!
Thunder Road must to be in the top 5
It’s in the bin
Top 5 bin then 😂
Where the fuck is Vektorace?!
Say wha?
with all due respect, I expected to see more of the games and less of your face
Don’t watch it then…duh
