Just recently, I was sitting in it at the gatehouse in Akron Ohio During founders Day weekend, a local radio station was playing recovery songs and this particular song came on the lyrics just knocked me out of my chair. What a gift to articulate lyrics, honest down to the bone how people feel. 89 years prior to us two people met at gatehouse in Akron, Ohio related the same way one of the greatest gifts and songs and weekends. Heard the song at Stan Hewitt Gate house at founders Day over the weekend 6/8/24 Akron, Ohio I was sitting in a lawn chair and a recovery radio station had a booth playing music. All of a sudden the song came on and I never heard lyrics so perfectly. articulate to and from a person in recovery to a person in recovery like the singleness of purpose that was discovered 89 years before at the gatehouse this song knocked me out of my chair, and I immediately ran over to the booth to find out the name of the song and I knew it was Bonnie Raitt absolutely great lyrics and great delivery. I believe Bonnie Raitt is one of the best songwriters. God bless.

Just had a dream yesterday of my buddy who was shot and killed almost 20s years ago. The whole long dream we were just hanging out. At the end of the dream he was walking away and just faded into nothing. Then, in the dream, I remembered that he had passed some time and ago and started crying. Been thinking of him since. For some reason this song just came on the radio. So weird..

Today was the first I ever heard this and had to look it up, why is at the end. First and foremost about this song is I wish she would have wrote a song that took aim at the dictators and politicians that started then promoted all this grief for power, control through fear & money. Other than that, I still love Bonnie's beautiful voice. I was driving at the time this song came on & started thinking. It's impossible for me to select my favorite group. Selecting a favorite male vocalist is just as silly. With every different place or emotional state, one or twelve always pop up. Female singers... From Enya to Shania, Diana to Grace, regardless of mood or song I still go heart over heel for Bonnie's voice. Love you best from the late 60's & 70's but love you still today.
