Quite the challenging log to cut. I was watching closely to see if it was going to pinch the blade. You did very well. I was thinking about using a wedge. 😊
are these saws worth buying are these good Quality also what is the difference in the black blade and the standard blade also what is the difference in the 240 and the 360 also where can i purchase that bigboy the link you have is for the gomboy
Hi, the saws are definitely high quality and the outback (black) versions have thicker blades and a better coating. The handle is also better and anti-slip. Link for the Big Boy is here: amzn.to/4bC6qOb Thanks for watching!
Trying to decide on the Big boy or Gomboy. I just want to be able to process fire wood to keep a fire going in the bush for a week. What one do you recommend for this? Appreciate the help!! 🎉😊
@Gordon87Gekko I think it depends on how large the general trees are in your area. Personally, if it is mainly for firewood that you are splitting down and assuming the trees/ branches are not more than 6", I think the Gomboy is enough and more portable. However, the Big Boy will cut through probably about 30% faster but is more expensive and larger. Hope that helps.
I have the Silky Big Boy AND the Gomboy. Excellent saws!! Personally, I don’t think the Big Boy would be necessary; I don’t see a reason to need to saw a log that big. It would be too heavy 2 move 🤔
I have a silky ryoba and a nata. I was disappointed when then dropped their larger folding saws. It seems their going for a niche market rather than carpentry.

Yes! It was challenging! You will see the result in a subsequent video soon. Thanks!
I have the Gomboy Outback and absolutely love it!! The blade differs from their others for particular use on dried wood or bone.
Great to hear that! Thanks for watching!
That was a very thick tree. Very good job.
Yes it is! Thanks!
Silky’s are great but always have a bacho Laplander in your kit -love your vids Jc - thanks so much man 👍
Thanks! Does Bahco make a folding saw this blade size at about 14"?
@@urbanknifeguy bacho only make the Laplander in size similar to pocket boy but virtually indestructible - they don’t make a larger size - nice one Jc

Canadian prepper made several videos about Silky saws over the years, the only ones I have are the regular 240 and the F180 with small teeth.
Thanks for that!

Thanks! This size was to cut a working stump for my bushcraft camp. Heavy but could be rolled and carried.

Which size larger saws did they drop? Thanks!
Use that carry case
