Hi Anthony and Joyce. Nice bit of planning Anthony. Still a good size. Only downside as it is now your on your knees when using it. Thanks for sharing Anthony. Stay safe guys. Thumbs up Thumped 👍 .... Pete....
Hello, Peter and thank you for the nice comments! It is not much of a downside, as I had to be on my knees to put the trains in place on it to begin with. Now, I can slide it out (and when I get it up on legs with wheels (I was going to put it on brackets) it will easily slide out and be accessible. As the OO is, for me, just a bit of a lark, I am happy to have it in a safer spot. I will always add some very basic scenery and even a backscene opposite the camera angle, to give it more jazz! Cheers and take care!
Good work Anthony. Getting the layout off the floor can only be a good thing for sure. Same comment about Extra track. 👍 Have a great weekend. Happy Modelling
Thank you, Mon! FOr a quick knock-off job, I am pleased with how it all came together. It also came with the benefit in that it forced me to get rid of some stuff I needed to get rid of, and to move other stuff which needed to be moved for a long time.
Still more to do, but this was the hard part, and it wasn't that hard. hardest thing is getting my lazy self to actually do it, but the attack on the Mallard by the cats last week finally was the last straw. lol Cheers to you and the family.
Hi Anthony & Joyce, Well done what seems good at the start can after a while upset you as having my loft railway on the dinning room table did so a good move. Just a thought when you move it up a bit why not do it with wheels so it can be moved out a bit for filming cleaning etc.if there is room that is!!!! Cheers Robert.
Hello, Robert! Almost 2 years ago I set a loop of "DC" (2-rail) track down on the floor to run my Mallard I bought in Edinburgh. It was supposed to be there temporarily. Then I got the Azuma... and my little OO stock grew, So did the track. It became 2 loops, it got longer, and more in the way. Then the cats took a dislike to it, apparently. It has needed a move for a long time, and we kept debating where to go. I finally came up with a place we were all happy with. The table comes in half for removal, and it is on sliding pads, and weighs very little, so it is very easy to pull out. I have 6 feet (of its 7-foot length) in my work area. I had planned on putting it on brackets to raise it up, but I am liking the idea of roller legs even better. I still have much to do and clean under there, but it is now safe from chair legs and out of the main passage between the 3 rooms in the basement. Thank you very much for the advice and the grand comments! Cheers! Anthony and Joyce
Nice work Anthony 😁Could you put the camera at the other end angled like you were in this film but reversed? Or are you concerned about flashing your legs off? Or worse if you're wearing baggy shorts? 😮 lol Happy modelling and I look forwards to hopefully meeting you next month 😉
LOL, Mav! The camera is probably safer, and the view is probably better from this angle. (I experimented). As for my legs... well, thanks to my mother, I have a condition in my skin which caused my legs to grow no hair. Women would be jealous of how hairless my legs are. lol
So Joyce finally won the Roomba battle, so Roomba can work now? If it was a travel issue, you should have just gotten out the dremel and embed the track in the floor. Nice job, take care.
Hi Steve... lol... no the cats WON the war, so things had to be moved... not done... I was going to put them up on the legs on brackets, but wheeled legs is sounding more interesting.
Hi Andrew! Yes, I plan on putting in some very basic static grass, and maybe a mobile station on a matching board as a lark. Of course, I have been planning scenery on my main layout for 8 years and not done it yet. lol
Ironic Tab on: He, nice a DCC playground for the "#$%()#$)" cats ... and even a middle part to s..t ... well let hope to sleep in ... I had 4 to 5 cats doing their "things" under the layout table ... electric shock solved it ... Ironic Tab off ... if you do little legs with wheels under the "that" your back bones will be thankful ... have fun
It is a battle. There is still more to do. I was going to put it on legs or brackets, but wheels can also work. It is designed to be taken apart quickly, if need be. It does not weigh much, and being on felt slide pads, it is easy to move around and access any section.
Great video of the move of layout thanks for the share on channel keep up the great work thanks lee
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice Anthony. Great job. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video, and good explanation.
Well, you are the only person (besides me) who got to see any stage of the construction. lol
You definitely reeled me in with the title. I saw that and immediately wondered if the entire layout was going to be moved. 😂
Yeah, it was mean to do it, but what the heck! lol

I am glad to hear that, Tim. I had no idea how I would feel about it, much less how others would!
To move a whole Railroad is a big engineering project.Good Job
LoL... thanks!
Thats cool, Well done move..

UK layout looks cool under there especially with the lighting.
All the best to you both.
Thanks, Deano. When I first turned the lights on and saw how bright it was, it made the deal! I knew it was going to work there!
😊🎉
:)
Very cool video and thank you very much for sharing this. Have a wonderful rest of your day and upcoming weekend. Steve
Thank you! You too!
@@ModelTrainOutsider you're very welcome and thank you also.
Guess you've got yourself an underground railway. 😮
Hmmm, maybe I need a couple London Tube trains? :)

I'm at a point where I gotta move something, but keep putting it off🙄
Procrastination is my greatest weakness.

They look a lot better under the main layout. Will you be adding any scenery in the future?
Hi Andrew! Yes, I plan on putting in some very basic static grass, and maybe a mobile station on a matching board as a lark. Of course, I have been planning scenery on my main layout for 8 years and not done it yet. lol
Not a bad solution for now.
It was the only practical one based on space.
Nice move. Is it mounted on rollers?
No, it is on felt pads and slides easily. It weighs @20 lbs, so is very light to move.
@@ModelTrainOutsider Very cool. Felt pads. That's a great idea!
