    Allah yishfeena! In Spanish we say "Dios nos guarde" -May God keep us!

    • @rosayarelys
      @rosayarelys 3 года назад +2

      ¡Hola! Gracias por la aclaración. Al igual que el árabe, el español es una lengua rica en expresiones y variantes. Pueda que "Dios nos cura" se utilice donde tú vives, pero en mí país jamás la he escuchado. Y por cierto... Cualquiera que hable español debería cuidar mejor de sus conjugaciones y ortografía.

    ...one of the things that made me gravitate towards (levantine) arabic is the heavy use of attached pronouns at the end of the verbs because it works quite similarly like in the languages found on the island of luzon (notably tagalog, ilocano, kankana-ɜy, ibaloi, etc) but with a vso pattern, for example:
    you went - (t) pumunta ka, (i) napanka, (k) inmɜyka, (i) dinmawka, ka meaning 2nd person, sg you

    ...how much difference really is going on among the four spoken dialects (palestinian, jordanian, syrian, lebanese)?
    ...i'm asking because i'm trying to acquire more levantine arabic (more than egyptian or gulf arabic) so i'm just wondering
    ...thanks

    • @ladeneye2231
      @ladeneye2231 3 года назад

      Not much
      We understand each other easily
      I would say they are more like accents of the Levantine dialect (further than accents but closer than dialects)
      And that's because of the language history of the region: they spoke very similar semetic languages until they were replaced with a lingua franca of the region (including Iraq) that was Aramean (of course accents/dialects emerged) until it was replaced with Arabic
      In addition to politics and borders - this region was connected for a long time (even before the common era). It was Syria-Palestina under the Romans, and these four countries are known as "belad el-sham" meaning "the countries of el-sham" (el-sham is the levant).

    • @ladeneye2231
      @ladeneye2231 3 года назад

      I would be happy to help you with any questions regarding levantine dialects!! I am very passionate about them!! (I am Palestinian)
      Random notes:
      Some separate languages are closer to each other than different arabic dialects and MSA
      Some claim levantine arabic is not arabic, but rather neo-aramaic proto-arabic
