Sure! 1. If he plays Soulslike, call him a "casuls" 2. If he plays DOOM, call him a "boomer, too old for gaming" 3. If he plays Fortnite or Roblox, he's beyond salvation you just have to give up Jokes aside, we can't really force someone to play something they don't want. Plus they might have many reasons not to. I know some people need to be in the right mindset first before gaming, or else they just won't enjoy it. If it were me, I would just nudge them slowly, convince them that they don't have to play the whole game. Tell 'em to just play with you for a few hours so as to dip their toes first not knowing the deep ravine below. Tell 'em "It's for old times sake! For your ol' buddy!" and usually they'll cave in thinking it was only for a few hours to please you, when in fact you've got them right on your claws.
@@allosauriaYT Oh yes, the start of MH games is always slow. If it were my friend (it sounded like my friend) I would ̶m̶o̶c̶k̶ point it out when we're fighting a hard monster later... Which we did. Part of the reason why I made this highlights is bcs of that. Anyway, perhaps show him an Elder Dragon fight? Not you or someone blasting/speedrunning, mind you. Also what weapon was he using? Tell him to try more difficult and technical weapons.
