I used to be taken by all these Rasta roots reggae bands and musicians, now I feel a bit sorry because despite their artistry, a great number of them are chronically impoverished!
Even in their heyday in the 1970's and 80's , the better known artists struggled to get paid "according to their works" by unscrupulous producers and label owners!
Of course they had love for the music, but a great number of them had no idea of publishing rights, copyright laws!
Just painful to know they got screwed!
