This is by far one of the best classical pieces I’ve ever heard in my life. So melancholy and mysterious. You and John Williams did it justice but all credit goes to the artist himself, Carlo Domeniconi
It is. He's from the same place that we all are. You have to relax and find a little time each day to figure out how to express yourself, the rest figures itself out.
If you’d like to walk through the pearly gates of Heaven some day, then you must place all your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection to cleanse away your sins. I hope to see you up there someday!
Its true we all have acces to the infinite well of creative potencial the difference is how much time effort and passion you invest in exercising your creativity just like a muscle but meditation helps alot too
The 'Presto ' is one of my favourite guitar pieces, a real treat to hear you play it - thanks :) Also, it was great to see you in the shred collab along with so many gifted luminaries including the amazing Michael Angelo Batio, it made my day.
God bless you for this masterpiece! I was struggling with afternoon schoolwork and this is the perfect piece to listen to whenever I want a 13-minute nap. The playing is incredible, and the storming ovation wakes me up everytime!
I watched Milos Karadaglic play this piece in concert from the fourth row in 2011. He was fantastic, but this is better, more dramatic, more exotic, more exciting. The guitar sound is more varied and expressive, unearthly. Marvelous, thanks.
James Rawlings if you were educated in music you would know that this is not nit picking, it is using the correct term, like How the use of variations is used incorrectly in these messages, because playing with rubato is a style of playing in the romantic era as so is the bass line demonstrated in the video
Wonderful performance! I loved how used space/silence during your performance. Also, i appreciated how you didn't play the piece as if you were at the Indy 500. I've listened to several performances of this piece by world class players and this is by FAR my favorite performance.
I would love to hear a re recording done of this. This is one of my favourite pieces of music. Domeniconi himself never played this the same way twice and encouraged improvisation.
@@djneverblock7300 Ahh I see. I have heard many people play this. Aside from the composer Carlo Domeniconi is my fav. I meant a quality re-recording of Brandon playing

I am from Turkey and my father is from a small province where this Koyunbaba (an alewite islam saint) had lived. The issue they don't understand is, how Carlo Domenico is influenced by Koyunbaba? Koyunbaba died aroun 600 years ago. So interesting..
I think this is the first time I've ever heard this and it's amazing. Funny thing though is I can imagine Brandon bringing out some 20 stringed monster to play this if he were doing it today!

@@brandonacker I know its been a long time that you uploaded this video but could you maybe lend me a hand in discovering why you placed the guitar on your right thigh? When does a classical guitarist do this/when is it necessary? I've seen other guitarists, e.g. Mateusz K. do it but still do not understand why. Is it for technically difficult pieces? Thank you so much.
One of the best interpretations of this music! Congratulations, Brandon! Do you play with no support to hold your guitar? I cannot see any! What guitar are you playing here? Thank for answering!
+Brandon J. Acker thank you for your kind reply. I'm studying this piece so I found your performance very interessing from a didactic point of view as well, but it is very interesting from the point of view of musicality and interpretation. I noticed the strap only at the moment! The guitar looked to be hovering by magic at first! 😂

Wouldn't it be nice to re-cover this piece on a fretless classical guitar, or a microtonal one?

Great audience for great player
So impressed. I like it. I heard many performances of Koyunbaba and could tell you like a musician to musician: It is great.

Beautiful! Your performance of Koyunbaba is so involving: just put my headphones on, close my eyes and be transported. Thank you.
When tuning the guitar is as artistic as the gorgeously played piece.....
Brandon, I really think that you musically absolutely nailed it, here. Thank you!
He's so good with that guitar because it's the same one he used to play when he was a baby.
Beautiful piece of classical music and one of my most favorite . Played masterfully .
You played this piece perfect! BRAVISSIMO
This is the best interpretation I've ever seen. Incredible dynamics in the Cantabile! Incredible performance! just wow!

look for Paulo Martelli's interpretation. You won't regret it.

I find this beautiful song today. It surely is one of the hardest to play.
His right hand technique is staggeringly good.

Finally, an interpretation without all these extreme ritardando's and accelerando's. It is much better this way with subtle tempo variations
just say rubato
