I had an opportunity to come in contact with a jew Rabbi for a few days during my serving a company . I engaged him in discussion on various topics Among other things we also discussed on manstruation . He said the things practiced in India by traditional Hindus during menstruation of a female membeof the family is also followed in Jews families and some families practice distancing of the said member from doing any work and mixing with others for 7 days !
If nothing else, we must apologize for or explain how we treat that King of Ayodhya as Ideal who chucked out his pregnant wife to the woods, just to appease a Dhobi’s privately expressed objections. With this as the ideal, should Hindus marry at all and make tall claims about the sanctity of that institution and their civilization. I think even the most misogamist people don’t do such a thing.
