You obviously respect ptx , homefree is the next lvl...try out "man of constant sorrow" , "sea shanty" and the Boys to men cover of "End of the road"...👍🇺🇸🍻
Yes she does! She’s also the one who encourage him and gave him the confidence to become a star in his own right as he was mainly a songwriter and the lead singer of the steeldrivers.
@@lillianleigh7316he has terrible stage fright he does it to ease himself. She told him that when he’s up there sing to her. But she felt he was cheated being one of the biggest songwriters for all the hit artists… but not having anyone hear his beautiful voice. She told him the world needed to hear his voice and she was right.
Chris Stapleton is a national treasure baby. As a 70 year old lady let me tell you his pipes are AhFreekinMazing !!!! That’s his beautiful wife singing with him and she can wail too ❤❤
He has bad stage fright. So he looks at his wife who is singing with him. She keeps him grounded. He has written many songs for many artists. He is a rare talent beyond so many others.
I was just going to suggest that he watch it. I've never seen a grown man cry because his heart was so filled as the coaches was. That brought me to tears seeing him.
Keep listening to Chris. He’s his own genre. Definitely check out his live performance of Cold that he did at the 2021 CMAs. He and his band mates won a Grammy for that one. Chris has 8 Grammys.
He wrote many popular songs for other singers before his wife (on stage with him in this video) convinced him to record his own songs. He watches her often on stage because he suffers from stage fright sometimes. If you want your mind blown, watch his cover of It's a Man's World! He was in the audience, was recognized by one member of the band on stage, and was asked to come up, pick a song, and sing. It's incredible, and you can see the amazed reactions of the band members. James Brown would be proud.
Dude. Get you a guitar. I was at church one night and saw this elderly woman playing like she invented it. I fell in love, came home , bought a guitar the next day and the rest is history. I taught myself to play and still love it
Oh you ain’t heard nuthin til you heard him sing the Star Spangled Banner. He sung it @ a pro football game, think it was a Super Bowl but I can’t recall. He had hard core lookn big azz football players tearing up.
Chris Stapleton has alluded to being a Snoop Dogg fan and that his time listening to Hip Hop has helped him with the structure of his lyrics in his songwriting. Makes it kind of cool they got to collab on the new Monday Night Football song.
Chris is a once in a lifetime talent. His live performances are always better than the album versions. Check out him and Justin Timberlake live at the CMAs doing Tennessee Whiskey/Drink You Away. It’s one of the best performances I’ve ever seen 🖤
He is a great artist and as a white man who grew up on hip hop and R&B myself I opened up my musical eyes and ears about the same time as you I never thought I would like rock country or anything like that but man if you ever get a chance see this guy live or Arron Lewis l will tell Arron will take you there
I'm doubling down on what others told you about the "Cold" live performance. Country music stars in the audience were acting like a bunch of fan boys and fan girls. Grab a drink, kick off your shoes, lean back in your chair, and just feel the soulful vibes come through your headphones!
I saw Chris live at Cotton Eyed Joes Jan 9 2016 watching him preform 20 feet from the stage sitting at a bar table drinking Tennessee Whiskey best damn night of of my life. The man is an absolute legend!✌️
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️me... To answer your question at the end 😂 1 of many I am sure bc nobody compares to him. I was just going to give 1 suggestion, "CMA PERFORMANCE WITH JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE", they sang 2 songs together that night and it was Chris's breakout moment for ones who had been sleeping on him.. After saying no one compares to him, I also have to recommend Chris's tribute to Prince, the day he passed. He looked up to Prince. Without much, if any prep, he sings " Nothing Compares To You" at his concert, and a fan videos. It's amazing.
Man, you gotta listen to Chris sing with his wife, Morgane, the mother of his five children. She's a terrific lady with a terrific voice and when they sing together, you can see how much they are still in love after being together for more than 20 years. I'd recommend their song More of You on PBS Tiny Desk series. It's very different from this, but very beautiful. You could also listen to them singing Amanda together on the Grand Ole Opry. Thanks for a great reaction.
I saw him in Indy a couple years ago and it was the best concert I've ever been to! (I'm 65) so I have been to a few concerts in my life. He was by far the best ❤
You won't regret falling in this rabbit hole! You got to react to Cold. Amazing, so so many songs. He and his wife Morgane (back up singer here) have been married over 20 yrs. they are amazing people and performers. Chris was "just" a writer. Morgane talked him to singing live and told him she would always be right by the stage and he could look at her and sing. His talent needed to be shared. Chris had extreme stage fright. He has written for many artists and now performs his own songs. I have never found a bad song from Chris or Morgane.
One of my favourite tracks . Just beautiful, he is a gorgeous voice and the lyrics are soulful and so pure . And yes the beauty is that he sounds as beautiful as recorded. You should react to led zeppelin stairway to heaven. Lynyrd Skynyrd free bird , credence Clearwater revival have you ever seen rain ?
That angel standing stage-front singing background vocals is his wife, Morgane. Chris used to write songs for other artists and it was Morgane who encouraged him to begin promoting his voice. Utube "Amanda" to get a real good feel for her vocal. Have yet to hear a bad song from CS, but his best song, IMO, is "Death Row". Another must is last years Superbowl National Anthem sung by CS..... it will make yiu cry, I promise!. Thanks for reacting, glad you found CS.
Live Chris is _always_ best Chris. The studio cleans up that small scratchiness in his voice that is so beautiful, so if you have a choice between a Live song or Recorded one, choose live. Except for the official video for Fire Away, just because the video is so beautifully done. And so damn sad.
I too, was blown away when I first saw this video! Just a few weeks ago and it reminded me that much of the old school country music is based in the blues. The modern stuff doesn’t move me but this here….most certainly did! Amazing! 😽🎶
I knew you liked this song. It your first time hearing it, and I could tell you were singing the chorus with him by the end. He moved you. Thats what music is all about, making you "feel" something. Great reaction! It was honest.
There’s one video of the one time he gets called up on stage, while in the audience, and does James Brown, excellently. There’s also one video of the one time, when Prince died, that he did Nothing Compares 2U, in tribute. I highly recommend these, along with all of his other live performances.
The song Cold by Chris Stapleton at the CMA Awards 2021 is 🔥🔥🔥! It’s a must see💯! Absolutely loved your reaction because that was me about 1 month ago and now I’m a fan!
I grew up with a father that I haven't seen since 1987. I feel more of a connection to the blues fan than I ever did with my own father. We are as much kin as any other statue we have Ever seen
He is his own genre although country is where he hangs his hat 🤠👍🏼 blues, soul rock he does it all to perfection. You are spot on about live performances. Listen to anything from Chris live if possible. He is better than his recorded music. Brings that extra sauce! Listen to “Cold” live at the CMA’s, won Grammies , then “I was Wrong” and “Sometimes I Cry” at the Bing Lounge for starters. His influences growing up in Kentucky were Snoop Dog and Dr Dre and cut his teeth singing in church. He considers Aretha Franklin THE best female artist. Keep going down this rabbit hole cause Chris was amazing in his twenties singing lead for the famous bluegrass band The Steeldrivers and also sang in a Country rock band while writing award winning songs for other artists. Enjoyed your reaction , you got a new sub because of Chris! Keep ‘em comin young man‼️🎵👍🏼
This song was originally written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and first recorded by David Allen Coe in 1977. This version is one of, if not, the best covers. I actually prefer it! Great reaction. Chris Stapleton is a great artist!

That first word, "DAAAAMN" basically sums up Chris...
First time watching any of your videos. I dig it. Plus one of the best songs ever…no one else could do this song as amazing as him
When you know what’s coming 🥰 I love watching people hear Chris for the first time. Love from Denmark
Cris is smooth ! Freaking phenomenal singer
The woman singing with him is his wife. She's got some pipes too.
Yes she does! She’s also the one who encourage him and gave him the confidence to become a star in his own right as he was mainly a songwriter and the lead singer of the steeldrivers.
love how he glances at her from time. You can see the love.
Check out her singing backup for him on the song "Amanda" at The Ryman.
@@lillianleigh7316he has terrible stage fright he does it to ease himself. She told him that when he’s up there sing to her. She helped him, and he knows it, but the talent his is.
You ain't heard anything till you hear him sing it's a man's world
That's the one I was just going to recommend.
LOVE LOVE LOVE, AND LOVE THIS SONG, WOW ‼️‼️♥️❤️
Yessss to the mid-20’s comment and wanting to learn more types of music than what we grew up with. Music helps our souls grow.
Country soul is what it is called. He is a modest ultra superstar singer. His wife is great to. She is singing with him.
As we southerners say....Chris can saaaaaaang!! Yes Tennessee whiskey is smooth!!!
His rendition of the National Anthem from the Super Bowl is also 🔥! Great reaction!❤️
I was just going to suggest that he watch it. I've never seen a grown man cry because his heart was so filled as the coaches was. That brought me to tears seeing him.

White boy Wednesday...😂😂😂
Agree . Best rendition I've ever heard , hands down.
This is the best in Country Blues. Chris really brings it home.
Keep listening to Chris. He’s his own genre. Definitely check out his live performance of Cold that he did at the 2021 CMAs. He and his band mates won a Grammy for that one. Chris has 8 Grammys.
He is my ring tone on my cell. I LOVE his voice
😂love watch first time Chris Stapleton reactions !!!! So funny. He is 🔥
I love seeing Chris and his wife Morgane singing to each other! She's mom of their 5 children and has amazing pipes, too!
Think im in love with you by chris stapleton is perfection
This is blue grass, this is country folk music, this is the roots of r&b, blues, hip hop etc.

Chris is always best live. He feeds on his audience, and they on him. It's just one of the things that make him, and his music, special.

“Sometimes I Cry”
Live will blow your mind!
✨🎵✨😎👍✨🎵✨
His CMA live performance of Cold is once in a lifetime sound.
imo Chris is in the top 5 singers right now, and is and even BETTER song writter.
Dear, we all change our music as we get older. We just broadened our horizons. Welcome to the club!🙂✌️

No doubt!! He and JT showed out.
Absolutely the BEST live performance ever!!!

Looove your reaction. Welcome to the Chris Stapleton rabbit hole. He is this good in person!! Just 🔥
there is a reason he made grown men cry at the Super Bowl singing the National Anthem!
I was blessed with the gift of loving beautiful music. I didn't get the gift of creating it

You call it Soul now, it's been called Country Forever--like Country Cookin' is now called Soul Food. Whatever you call either--They Are Awesome
This types of reactions are my favorite! Especially seeing someone find Chris for the first time!
I have denounced genres. If a song hits, it hits. If it wakes up your soul.... it's meant for you.

He is classified as country but a lot of his songs are pure blues. The chord progression, the time signature, ALL BLUES!!!!
