Well done! Loved the inner light glow and the lights on the outer side of the ring. Panning back for the house shot was lovely too! Plus you garden gate is beautiful. The shape and the simple wreath and garland make it pop!
Oh, wow! Love how the lights from the ring reflect from the glass of the kitchen window! And the view from the inside is gorgeous! I probably would not take that down for along time. Perpetual Christmas! Or leave the ring throughout the whole year in the window box and light it up at night!
I'm gobsmacked too - really beautiful with the lights on. I never do exterior lighting because I'm a big fat environmentalist - but I could do lighting for short periods. This would definitely help me through a zone 5 winter. Warmest regards Jennie
Such a great video! I didn’t even notice the cage at all until you mentioned. It just looks fantastic. So different and unique. Thanks for sharing excellent info!
Those are gorgeous! I think the inner lights makes all the difference. And the pot with the small tree is perfect. I love it. Thanks and Merry Christmas. I love your channel. It has given me much inspiration and laughs this year. God bless. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Erin, great video on the practical aspects of making a very sophisticated planter. The small electrical box for the LED lights is brilliant! I have seen Deborah's blog detailing her installations but I like how you gave the specific materials/info to make it your own. I will be trying a version of this if I can find some cheap sources for the twigs. I agree that you need a lot more stuff than you think you will to make the container full. Thank you!
I love your energy, Erin...makes me think of years gone by....not that I'm done, just slowed down a bit. Love the ideas, fresh...fun...fabulous!!! 🥰 Thanks a ton and Merry Christmas to you and your whole clan...wasn't the Kitty enjoying the view there in the kitchen??? How pretty is the whole effect! Love it!!! ❤️🥰😁
Love love love the window box and the ring!! So many ways you could incorporate that throughout the year as well. Thank you for the inspiration. Happy Holidays 😊🎄☃️🎊
Hi Erin, Thank you for these ideas. Your containers are beautiful! I subscribed to your channel. You have a kitty, how could I not! Have a wonderful holiday.
Erin, I love all of your outdoor decorating tips, especially the window box ring! With the reflection in your kitchen window, it almost looks like you placed double rings in there. Since I don't have an iron ring, I've thought about using lighter weight vinyl tubing to make spheres for the urns by my front door, or maybe copper tubing! You've inspired me, so now I'll be playing with that for the next few days.
Those are so pretty. A suggestion I’d make is to use floral wire if you have it from other projects. It’s a bit cheaper than the zip ties. Just a thought.
It’s funny you say that. The first video I ever did ( not on RUclips, but on the blog and I think it’s probably gone missing), was about knots gardeners should know. Maybe I’ll remake that one of these days.
Aaron it looks so beautiful, it’s amazing what you can do with such simple things. Very interesting. I think I will try to find Walter and put something together like that next year for you it is just fabulous and I love it and I do wish you the most happy of holidays!
Wow, absolutely beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing! Definitely will be incorporating some new ideas in my Christmas Urns next year. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year from our house to yours
I just spent a ridiculous amount of time going through Deborah's blog. Thank you for crediting her, and your takes on her designs are so amazing too! I hope you don't mind if I copy the ring. It is so stunning.
I just was looking at my 3 barrel hoops this morning wondering what I could do with them! I have had them for 15 YEARS. Thank you 🙏🏻 beautiful BTW throw a small spot light on the container to show more detail. It’s simply beautiful!!
I was over on the Garden Answer channel and I saw your post - OMG- I love the way that the Giants of RUclips garden channels totally support each other - I garden in Northwest Indiana - and if it grows for you I know it will grow for me. I was able to find in nature so many pretty things to use for my winter decor for my 22" pots- great tips Question - have you begun plans for your Spring & Summer 2020 garden? I would like to grow a Czechmark Trilogy Weigela from Proven Winner's do have any experience with that plant?
So beautiful. One suggestion if I may. Maybe hot clue would hold the light on the wheel. Although I can see where that would be a pain if you remove the lights every year.
That’s a great suggestion and I do think it would work. But I store that hoop behind the garage so the light have to come off if I were storing it inside that would work for sure though.
So lovely! Thanks for all of the great tips. Quick question: Do the dogwoods retain their color enough to use them for a second year? Thinking about the ones wired to the tomato cage and hoping it's possible to get more than one year from the centerpiece part. (And I think I'm going to plant some red and yellow twig dogwoods this spring!)
‼️❤️AWESOME ❤️‼️ I’ll do that to my lonely window 😁, thank you❤️‼️ ❤️💕‼️HAVE A WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS ❤️❤️❤️‼️ thanks for sharing you knowledge ❤️💕❤️‼️
I love how “woodsy” it all looks. The red curly willow is beautiful. Where do you get that? Do you grow it in your garden or purchase it? Thank you for the inspiration. I will be finding a steel guy!! 😉
I ordered branches this year (for the first time) from a lovely business in Minnesota: Blue Sky Flower Farm, a small, woman-owned business. My plan is to save a lot of these branches and reuse them. I think they'll be good to go for a couple years at least.
Everything is gorgeous, especially the flower box. The pine cones are open now but the moment they get wet they will close up. That’s my only issue. Is there a way to keep them fully open?
So I baked these guys pretty good so they are really dry. I've not had an issue in the past with them closing up, but I think it could definitely happen if we got a lot of rain. I'll have to keep my eye on them to see.
Wow, just beautiful! I love the window box and the ring is a great idea. Where did you get the outdoor proof berries? I can only find the styrofoam type and they seem to melt and make a mess in the weather.
Hello! Now that the holliday season is behind what do I do with all my yellow and red dogwood twigs? Will they keep their colour year after year? Does it worth to keep them and use them again next winter? Thank you so much.
Well done! Loved the inner light glow and the lights on the outer side of the ring. Panning back for the house shot was lovely too! Plus you garden gate is beautiful. The shape and the simple wreath and garland make it pop!
The window box with the ring is wonderful! I’m copying this tomorrow!
Oh, wow! Love how the lights from the ring reflect from the glass of the kitchen window! And the view from the inside is gorgeous! I probably would not take that down for along time. Perpetual Christmas! Or leave the ring throughout the whole year in the window box and light it up at night!
Looks great🥰 Really like the shot from inside your house to the outside, very clever!
Erin! I am gobsmacked! Just amazing. My favorite is the last one with just a few things from the woods. it is so peaceful 😊
Oh my gosh that window box is fabulous.
I'm gobsmacked too - really beautiful with the lights on. I never do exterior lighting because I'm a big fat environmentalist - but I could do lighting for short periods. This would definitely help me through a zone 5 winter.
Warmest regards
Jennie
I absolutely love how the window box container looks. So beautiful. Love the ring and lights. 😍🌲
So clever- would never have thought of a tomato cage but it looks great
Once the kitty stepped into the scene it was perfection!!! Lovely!
So beautiful at night with the lights!, especially love your little tree container near the back door.
All look beautiful but the window box is stunning
Absolutely love it all but am so in ❤️ with that window box!
Love the tomato cage and metal ring ideas.
Such a great video! I didn’t even notice the cage at all until you mentioned. It just looks fantastic. So different and unique. Thanks for sharing excellent info!
Beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing and for the lit nighttime view! 🎄Merry Christmas!!
Beautiful planters Erin! Thank you for showing us how you put it all together. Very helpful and appreciated!
Love the window box! I may have to copy that for next year!
From the First Container, I was hoping that you would Show us the Night View.
Beautiful 🥰🥰🥰
Happy Holidays 🎄🎄🎄

Your window box is gorgeous! Thank you for the inspiration ⭕️🎄
Everyone needs a mechanic, a plumber, a tree guy and a steel guy. :)
The ring is fantastic.

Great ideas. I wish you showed the container itself.
Every thing looks really nice Have a great Christmas

They do and I'm intending to save much of this. I may even leave them attached to the tomato cage.
‼️❤️AWESOME ❤️‼️ I’ll do that to my lonely window 😁, thank you❤️‼️
❤️💕‼️HAVE A WONDERFUL MERRY CHRISTMAS ❤️❤️❤️‼️ thanks for sharing you knowledge ❤️💕❤️‼️
Thank you very much. What is the paint you use? Is it a non toxic paint? Will I be able to put the twigs on the compost pile? Thank you very much.
WOW!

I got them at the garden center, labeled as weather resistant. These are also styrofoam, but they've held up for many, many years.
Hello! Now that the holliday season is behind what do I do with all my yellow and red dogwood twigs? Will they keep their colour year after year? Does it worth to keep them and use them again next winter? Thank you so much.
I kept mine from last year and used many of them again. They do fade but there still is some color. I also painted some white this year.
So cool. Please look for biodegradable alternatives.
