    Thank you for another great upload! I’ve personally known of only one person that passed away from ALS-but it was fast and horrific. I think it was 11 months that she suffered in total. She was only able to talk the first five or six months of the disease and after that had to communicate almost just by blinking or lifting one finger or something like that.Utterly horrible. I agree with what you said about people needing to take action and the encouragement to do so if they would like Social Security rules changed.

    The delay should not be 2 years I agree that is too long but the disabled person , if he was working at a company, could continue to get insurance while on short or long term disability from his employer. In a worse case scenario he could get a plan on healthcare. Gov and if his income very low get Medicaid, while he waits for Medicare. Medicare is not free as he will pay for part b and need a medigap and part d plan

      Yesterday I examined a person who was very seriously disabled as a result of a catastrophic accident in January of 2024. They have no income, no health insurance, running out of savings, and thinking they may lose their home. Not everyone can get COBRA insurance. I am sure as I can be they will be approved by Social Security - they definitely meet a Listing, but the delay a normal approval takes may be disastrous for them.

    Hello sir! It is my pleasure watching your videos for any information going forward with my disability claim. There are so many things about it that I did not know since the last time I applied almost 10 years ago. I hope for a better outcome this time around. The thing is I think you might have a larger following on youtube if you mix it up a bit, maybe a Metallica t-shirt every once in a while. Stuff like that. I also have been noticing your left shoulder getting worse, like it is drooping more as the months go by. Maybe you should be getting disability, why not. Maybe a more lively background instead of the Gilligan's Island S.S. Minnow. Anyway, I hope everything is OK with you and have been a long time follower but have only recently subscribed.

      How long have you waited since you applied?

      My shoulders are uneven because I broke my left clavicle in a surfing wipeout in Costa Rica in 1995. Works fine now.

      @@steveb4018 If you mean me, I first applied for SSDI in 2015, got turned down. Then in 2016 I appealed the decision and ended up going to court in 2018 or 2019 and got denied. Now I am reapplying in 2024 or 2025, whenever I get everything done. This all stems from a work accident back in 1998 where a welder shorted out sending me to the ground from the top of a semi trailer. Talk about work comp scams, it goes both ways. I worked until I just couldn't do it anymore and that was December 22, 2009. I hate the system. I am now a few weeks from turning 53 so I hope that helps. I am on my 4th shoulder and titanium collar around my c spine since I first applied. I could go on and on. Many more procedures to go.

    Hello! I was hoping you could help explain your quote at the end of your videos. I'm sorry if I'm missing something obvious. Thanks for your time!

      It's my own saying. In 49 years of examining patients I've seen quite a few things I had been told were "impossible".

    can you make another video about malingering ?

    • @DisabilityExams
      @DisabilityExams  22 дня назад +1

      I sure can - it's a special interest of mine. I estimate about 3-5% of folks I examine are malingering, which means most people are not, but it is significant.
