Lol, I feel like we're following each other. We were on the Fantasy one week after you guys and we just left the Hard Rock last week and stopped by Disney Springs on the way back home. All in all a fantastic 2 weeks...and now we're paying the price. 😂
We love the Universal Orlando Hard Rock Hotel. The location is incredible, the restaurants, aesthetics, gift shop, pool and Express Pass are great. The rooms however, seem dated to me. For the price of the room, they could use some refurbishment to the actual rooms. That tub, tile and sink area of the bath looked like a cheap motel. Otherwise, Hard Rock Hotel is incredible.
My family and I stayed at the Hard Rock hotel a few years ago, the location is awesome, free express passes are wonderful! And we really enjoyed the pool and the slide! Would love to go back one day ❤
The wiggly flaky things are called katsuobushi, they're made from bonito or amberjack that hav gone through a super complicated and lengthy drying and preservation process that makes them as dry and solid as wood, and then they're shaved down with a planer like a carpenter uses. So cool! They're popular in Japanese cuisine, most commonly on takoyaki (the fried squid balls on a stick).
The Hard Rock pool was sadly closed during our Universal Orlando Pool hopping tour. We love that you can pool hop at all of the resorts! The suite looks amazing for family’s!
When I saw the notification for this video on my phone earlier today, it only said "We Stayed in the Future" due to space constraints in the notification box--and I've been giggling about it ever since 🤣 I love how Jackson tries things--and that comes from having the security of parents who encourage but don't force him 😊 I think Hard Rock would definitely be my choice if I were staying at Universal--the vibe is great, and the pool looks awesome!

This is good to know, my husband and I have never been to Universal and this sounds like a great place to stay. We also want to check out SeaWorld and nasa. Oliver is sure growing fast and so is Jackson you two make terrific parents
We stayed in a suite at the Hard Rock in 2012 for my daughters 16th bday. Fantastic. The one thing I was disappointed in was only one toilet. I agree with you on that. for a suite that can hold six people it should have more than one toilet, or at least put the toilet in the bigger bathroom. Other than that we found the room to be very spacious. We did not feel cramped at all. We love that we were only steps away from the entrance of universal studios. We got a cabana for my daughters birthday and spent the day at the pool. It was a nice stay.
I’m sorry Tim that burger did not look good to me.. …I always laugh when Jackson plunges in the pool at the end of the slides and he just pops up giggling!!😎😎
Wow that looked like a fun stay! I still have to try Cowfish...I've heard good things about it. Jackson going down the waterslides is just to darn cute! I love that he loves it so much. 😊I hope you guys had fun at HHN...Jenn I'm so glad you finally got to go! My son and I are planning on going for the last time this season on Halloween. Not sure if that's a good idea or not haha. I assume it will be really mobbed but we've done all of the houses and scare zones already so it will just be a fun way to spend Halloween 🎃. The hotel itself and the pool are awesome but honestly the rooms could use some updating. We've stayed there multiple times ever since 2013 and just went again, for the cost they need to do some maintenance and updating.

So fun fact at the location of the original hard rock hotel that used to be on property before they rebuilt it in its current location. You can still see the outline of the court yard with the lamps that used to be there too. I'm not sure where the original was but it's somewhere in the back of house area on the Kidzone/Simpson side of Universal

Stayed at hard rock just this September. Room was disgusting and filthy had to get a new room. When we got to that new room there was a huge stain on our bed sheets. For how expensive hard rock is they have to step it up.
Insane that these hotels have differnet prices for Florida/USA residents, if travelling from abroad or more precise, Europe the prices per night are ridiculous how nice the hotel/amenities are, way out of budget for many!
