IMO the Metris is the ultimate vanlife van. It's got most of the benefits of a minivan but almost as much space as a full size van. They are super under-appreciated.

I met someone a few weeks ago , who had a Black Metris....Now I am obsessed with those!!! LOL....I do drive a old 1993 Mercedes 400E ( V8), but I love vans. So, I will probably buy an used black one in the future and put a small bed in the back for when I do travel...Just like you , this is actually the only van that I like ( well, a 2011 Toyota Sienna too..)
Watching this video was liking watching the last few months of my life... I looked at all the same small campers you did and then also decided on the Metris! And I'm trading in a Subaru as well! 😁 Thanks for a great video!

I got Metris Passenger 2019 for 2 years and I love it! but I want to built inside a camper convertion so Today I bought a 2020 Metris cargo Van with just 8k on it! Looove it! I love Mercedes-Benz ❤ Very well explained video!

i was worried about losing the awd as well but honestly I have been so happy with my purchase and haven't had any troubles yet not having awd. I love my little van, it has decent power too and it is fun to drive.
First weekend he slept on my legs. I couldn't move all night. I was trapped. I will do a video on my gadgets this weekend most likely and all the things I have in my van so far
