    After watching your video I was curious and looked up something I saw that I liked. I was pleasantly surprised to see some of Judy Miller pottery plates sell on ebay. She has some nice items. I learn something new every day. :) The scotty dog mug is really cute.

      When I’m not recording I always hum when I thrift, it relaxes me. I forgot I was recording 😂 I’ve been reselling for over three years now, and I’m still learning. I’ve paid to learn quite a few times, but it’s fun and a college or university degree costs thousands. I look at reselling the same way, so I don’t mind paying for my learning experience 😁

      Good morning Susie! I just poured myself a cup as well ☕️ French pressed is my favourite! I changed it up, having the haul at the end, because I wasn’t getting as many views on just the haul videos and they take a lot longer to make, the lighting here in the winter is not the best either, so I figured I would have more thrifting videos and a quick haul at the end for those that like to see them, and also I looked a bit like the dog on the mug! 😂

    Devonshires Violets is from Torquay England. In the 1800's up to the 1950's. There were several pottery companies that made Torquay pottery. It is known by many names like Scandy and Motto ware. The motto ware has a cottage scene usually and on the back there would be a motto.

    Vintage is great but the millennial age is satisfied with the counterfeit and unfortunately they are the ones spending the money. The older folks are holding on to their antiques and vintage stuff and leaving them to a generation that doesn't really care. Sellers have no choice but to adjust. It's ok to actually list quality pieces that aren't vintage.

    • @eclecticvintagethrifter
      @eclecticvintagethrifter  3 года назад

      I totally agree, unfortunately I can only list items that are 20 years or older. I guess I might have to start looking at more items from the 80’s - early 2000.

    • @carollove8752
      @carollove8752 3 года назад +1

      @@eclecticvintagethrifter Exactly. That's good business practice. You can't be rigid. You have to be flexible. Watch the market and adjust accordingly. The new movement is to reuse and repurpose. Not to collect and store. That's why you'll find these crude marriages of lovely vintage items on the shelves. Which aches my heart. 🤦‍♀️😂
