- Finally a bamboo farm update! I wish they grew faster but this is where we are at now. Welcome to my bamboo farms! Were trying to correct our issues to be able to grow more poles but for now this is all I know about bamboo farming!

Can we commend Ms. Angie for doing such act for keeping environment intact for people, animals and plants. We rarely see a person like her who is hands on in farming and planting like bamboo trees. She is undoubtedly selfless person when it comes to knowledge and applying everything that is necessary for our daily living. but also has hobbies that are 100% hypocritical to this. so no, this one is just a case of rich people saying "i can just grow garbage in the river because I can pay someone to clean it so yay, I'm environmentally conscious." but you poor folks, you gotta use soggy paper straws because you can't do bamboo forests.

Bamboo is good for erosion.
There’s study made in Illinois that bamboo is the future for prone for mudslides especially people living in low land areas because the roots of the bamboo it holds hard to the soil. Yes , good alternative and also the future.

Congratulations. Nice bamboo project. I planted some Asper myself in Bukidnon and now many of them are 3-4years old and more giant pole shoots have started to emerge (initial poles first 2 years are not yet giant)... carbon sequestration potential of Asper also depends on soil, topology, rainfall, temperature, elevation, etc. Baselining is critical. Fortunate for Bukidnon, Asper has been here for decades if not centuries. Accounting leakages, Asper can sequester 600mt/ha/30yr of carbon dioxide (CO2e)

Highly commendable for your actions, everyone is benefited for a good cause. One way also to propagate a bamboo is, a branch grow from a node. Plant the one with roots.

Since we are tropical, would it make sense to install solar to operate air con for your vegetables? Wow, bamboo farm to make sustainable toilet products ...amazing, more success to your endeavors 🎉 trench hopefully to harvest rain water for summer months too🎉❤
Yes and no. Solar works well in full sun but partial sun it's also not efficient to run AC units

What is the min land size do you need to start a bamboo farm? Where can we get the seed plants to start a backyard opns? What soil type and temp is suited for the plant?

@@AngieMeadKing, naicheck nyo na po ang variety ng iron bamboo. Nakapanood po kasi ako ng iba’t ibang blog about it. Mukhang maganda po ang quality nya and it might help you on your project.

Na appreciate ko ang bamboo nung tumira ako sa america,dito 1 gallon of bamboo is $50 sobrang liit pa non at ang risky pa buhayin 1 planted 9 rootballs of clumping bamboo for privacy fence dito sa eastcoast tatlo na ang namatay,in my opinion pinas talaga ang perfect soil for bamboos.
