Do you think BdC and Ganymede is similar? To me Ganymede is not a blue fragrance at all. Its minaralic, leathery, ozonic. Almost metalic. A bit of saffron spice. Very unique and very different than BdC imo. The experience and interpretation of scents are subjectiv for sure 😃
not really. For me, they are in the same bracket. They fulfill the same need. Modern, fresh. I don't think they smell the same but they give off the same vibe. I do think Ganymede is more interesting. That ozonic and mineral note makes it blue to me
It's interesting how we can perceive fragrances differently or how different they wear from one individual to another. Ganymede on me is no way a blue fragrance, I too feel one blue is enough. Frank your description matches my take, maybe sample another time or different season.
@@RichMitch thanks for reply. I dont claim to have the answer btw. Dont want to come off as arrogant ☺️ just interesting how different we perceive smell.
@@Frankhanzen I know that, I understood what you meant 😄 I think it's one of the most interesting aspects of the fragcomm, how people can differ so wildly on the same scents
I like it when the duck reviews things I can actually both try and buy. Modern perfumes haha. I own Ganymede. It's amazing. Practicaly everyone I know who likes fragrances has since bought a bottle. Which tells you it's nothing too daring. Enclade is great too green and sweet. Was nearly raped stood by a jukebox in me local boozer wearing that 1 haha. I have also treated myself to the silly priced B683 xtrait. Arrives next week. Quentin Bisch is the best at modern synthetics. That smell both unique and classy. 2 recommendations from Les Indemodables please Rich
2 recommendations from les Indemodables 🤔 Probably rose de jamaal and escale en Haiti I've been trying to focus more on some niche stuff this year, I really enjoyed going through that sample set
@@RichMitch There is some information on the Cypre Siam for instance, but few ever mention the Flora and Fauna - to me it's quite intriguing. Dry as Rochas PM.
@@marcofsw ah, I've tried a few things by Rogue. I thought they were OK but nothing amazing. I heard a rumour that someone submitted them for testing and they are, in fact, IFRA compliant 😂
I don't find Ganymede qualifies as a blue fragrance, but I guess where the impression comes from judging from your personal olfactive pallete. Ganymede is a breath of fresh air in modern perfumery and after running through my last sample will go FB myself for sure: leaning masculine with a remarkable mineral/metallic note comes out overall slighltly mature and elegant but not presumptious. Year round fragrance imo. Lasts until I🚿 and projects immensely for 4h on my skin. Need to go easy on the sprays or you'll be noticed. BdC EDP is quite different animal to my nose but haven't sprayed it in quite a few years... BdC is vintage 🐈⬛
I agree with a lot of what you've said here but that ambroxan and salty note gives me big blue fragrance vibes. I do think that any one person only needs one blue fragrance and I've got bleu de Chanel Parfum. I like ganymede but I don't feel like I need it as I have something which does the same thing
i have and quite enjoy their B683 Extrait - i appreciate your thoughts and impressions.
Thank you Alan
B683 extrait was not an immediate hit with me, Ganymede was. Repeated wears of B683 extrait turned it into a love, such an uplifting fragrance.

Cheers rich. Just ordered the sample set myself ☺️
Nice, let me know what you think
Now, how about Flora & Fauna by Rouge?
What about them?

That's b683 is good too
It's not bad, have you got it?
I got the non extrait version. I was thinking about buying it too but idk if it add anything for me

I'm looking for the yatagan vintage bottle you have. That will be a good addition to my collection

In order to protest the weather I wore Black Tourmaline from Olivier Durbano, sounds similar unwearable vibes from B683.
