It was the same when i heard jesse speak for the first time in his aussie accent. I was like holy shit. But then again, the first time I actually saw him was when he played chase on house. So it wasn’t too much a shocker.
His accent almost sounds strange. I've been watching Chicago Fire for many seasons. And I just decided to Google the actors and I clicked on his and it said he was from England. I was stunned. I just found this out about 5 minutes ago lol.
pete peeters omg I just found out 2 minutes ago and I’ve been watching it since it came out. Another video of him and Jesse popped up and I had never seen him interviewed and I had to pause and rewind because I was soooo blown away! I had to google more interviews of him. He does his American accent so well. I didn’t
Miss Di R. I had no idea that Jesse was an Aussie until I started watching House witch was surprising and now I can’t get that out of my head but Walker’s voice is really different then his American accent
Its not just Eamonn Walker's ability to pull of an American accent. As a former big city firefighter I continue to be impressed with how believable his portrayal of a Battalion Chief is with no actual firefighting experience in his background!
I just read he was British so of course I searched for an interview to hear. I am honestly more shocked at the pitch! The higher tone shocks me compared to how deep his Boden voice is. I am glad they came up with a strong deep voice for Boden.
I honestly thought that his voice on Chicago fire was him 100%....... like that was his day to day voice.. Man, do I feel dumb!!!!!!..... Chicago fire Boden voice fit him perfectly........... Casey aka Jesse Spencer, when he was on House, he spoke Australian English and when he started Chicago fire he did the American accent............. Mr. Walker, pls no more surprises 😊❤
when ever i see Eamonn Walker i see him in In Sickness and in Health way back in the day. he has come a long way from that. and a Isington Boy the London accent is still there lol... well done good luck to him.
😲 I don’t know why I’m even shocked. The British actors are almost always excellent at mimicking our American accents. Also, is it just me or do they seem to always speaking with a higher pitch when speaking with their real accents?
American accents are the easiest in the world to do. As an English man, I can do them pretty well because we grow up watching Americans on TV our whole lives.
its the London Islington accent its great he still has it. brilliant guy worked his arse of to get where he is. i remember him when he played a Gay West Indian in In Sickness and in Health he was boarding with a old man who was slightly racist! believe it or not it was a comedy. you should have a look the comedy would never be shown today lol...
@@genesis1765 I have been watching it (ISAIH) over the last couple of months and love it...Marigold (Eamon Walker) is a hero in it and puts Alf (Warren Mitchell) to shame....you have to take the comedy the right way but it might be too much for a few Americans.
I wouldn't say better than Americans but they're certainly better than Americans trying to do British / Aussies accents. I think it's largely down to how most British and Australians see and hear American TV and music everyday, they're more exposed to American accents than the other way round. Most Americans only see/hear either the stereotypical extremely posh old fashioned British accents aka like the queen / royal family, the James Bond villain-esque accent or it's the medieval peasant accent lol, all of which are quite rare in modern Britain. I'm British myself so can't speak on behalf of the Aussies but I imagine it's a similar thing
I can remember him and Oz the man has a powerful face whatever roll he takes you can believe it he's a fine actor with a good character he reminds me of my dad didn't have to say nothing just looked in his face and you could tell if he was pleased or not fine actor you make me proud man when I watch you you can act
Couldn't believe he was in The Bill 🇬🇧Now he is a household name in Chicago Fire 🔥❤️Like Idris Elba who I thought was American in the Wire ,Was shocked along with Dominic West to find out they too are British Actors ,God bless them 🙏.Love his interview ❤️
I am today years old I had no idea that this actor was British I've seen him in so many projects over the years and he is phenomenal and actually hearing his British accent is kind of making me tingle
I’m blown away w have seen every single episode of every single season today 8/15/22 today so the day I learned that this man was English I never freaking knew that man is spectacular!!!
I've seriously just watched this with an incredulous look on my face the entire time & kept saying to myself how it's a different man altogether!!!! Such a different accent & even voice!!!!! Can't believe it! He actually suits Boden's accent!!! lol!!
By far my favourite character on Chicago Fire and that was before I knew he was English. When I heard him talking to Craig Ferguson it suddenly became a 3 alarm fire. ❤️🇬🇧💙🏴
I am rating Chief Boden with Denzel Washington there's no doubt in my mind he could play along side of Denzel Washington anytime any movie I would love to see that
This is the first interview I’ve ever seen with this actor, what in the world this is how he really talks?! That’s crazy and amazing how you can’t even tell in the show.
This is why they use more British actors then real Americans. Directors say that the British are more skilled then most American actors and they can use a good American accent
I'm shocked. I didnt even expect his British accent. His American accent is good, he works hard :)
In my own opinion no such thing as a British accent. There is a distinction between the accents of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
@@mayena there is. There is just more than one
Go look up "Matt Casey" aka Jesse Spencer (Australian) he played his own accent when he was on house
I'

I nearly SPIT OUT MY DRINK
I THOUGHT HIS BODEN VOICE WAS HIS REAL VOICE
HOLY SHIT
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂 me too
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Facts lol
Just because their the same skin color doesn't mean their kin folk, he did his thing tho give him props for it
I did too............ his deep thick voice sounds sexy AF...
To hell with that day dream now 😢
His American Accent is so deap his real voice creaps me out

He creates such a presence in how portrays the American accent. Love him
he's a big guy with a strong presence so a deep commanding voice is necessary for the character.
Miss Di R. I had no idea that Jesse was an Aussie until I started watching House witch was surprising and now I can’t get that out of my head but Walker’s voice is really different then his American accent
I’m British and his accent still shocked me 😂
You mean Bri’ish* init
I remember him from Oz and I had no idea how thick it is.
Yup I spat out my coffee I was so shocked!
Then I was sad I waisted my coffee 😭
He was The Bill in the late 80s.
@@minjabens nah mate we don't speak like that

Are you an active or retired fire fighter?
@@Juss10sMom He said 'former big city firefighter', so the original commenter is retired.
this man is so damn underrated
For real. His acting is absolutely top notch i don’t know how he doesn’t play a main character in anything yet. Unless I’ve just not heard about it
💯
He's a fantastic actor. Out of all actors of OZ, I think he deserved an Emmy the most.
You should all watch a British Sitcom, In Sickness and in Health. That's where most British people know him from.
@@hayleybourgois8451 Don't forget "The Bill"
I just read he was British so of course I searched for an interview to hear. I am honestly more shocked at the pitch! The higher tone shocks me compared to how deep his Boden voice is. I am glad they came up with a strong deep voice for Boden.
I did the exact same thing. His Boden voice as well as his “Howling Wolf” voice in Cadillac Records.
Yes! His pitch is so much higher! I can’t get over it.
Same I was SHOCKED
That's the shocker for me too! He drops into James Earl Jones territory.
Me too!!!! I searched bc I needed to hear him in his normal British accent. Wow!
He is gorgeous and eloquent and such a talented actor!
i am straight and i have a total man crush....
@@hypnotherapycw You're not straight.
He is my eye candy. His accent shocked me.
OMG! After all of the years of OZ and Chicago Fire, I had no freakin' idea this man was British. WTF 😱
and Cadillac Records howling wolf
Omg me either
So is Adewale Agbaje(Adebisi)
Mee either I just found out today
I was also shocked to find out that the actor who played Otis [Yuri Sardarov] is also British. He also nailed the American accent!
His smile is mesmerizing
The fact that he plays Howlin Wolf in Cadillac Records is amazing!!
Eamonn Walker is a brilliant actor. Wow, the accent is mind blowing! Love the show, one of the best shows in NBC history.
This just blew me away. I never would have guessed. Well done!!!!
He was so intimidating and tough until I heard his actual voice!!!
He was sooooo mesmerizing as Howlin Wolf in the movie 🎥 Cadillac Records !!!👊🏾👊🏾
This might be a stretch but I can see him playing the great Luther Vandross in a movie biopic.
He would probably do the role justice, but I would hate to see him play a gay man. It would ruin all my fantasies of him 😭

Love his acting and his british accent, but it's strange not hearing his deep american voice.
I'm amazed at how his American accent is so rough and raspy while his British accent is so smooth
I love his American Accent. It’s something that you don’t hear often. But I didn’t expect his British accent to be this soft and milky
I just love his regular voice. I could listen to him talk for hours

I loved him in Cadillac Records 😊
Eamonn, great actor & nice to hear you're an LFC fan - YNWA!!
Never knew he had an accent. He's so good. Love him.
According to Wikipedia his father is from Grenada and his mother is from Trinidad. He was born and brought up in Islington, London.
Everyone has an accent
On The Bill he was classic. One of the best of that cast and a real gentleman.
Also "in sickness and in health"
He's great in 'In Sickness and in Health' the late 1980's British comedy...very funny man.
😲
