Great vid as always mate! I really enjoyed it. I think the Golf is better at snow than the Jetta due to the XDS electronic differential, which the latter lacks of. Managed to drive mine uphill on fresh snow, bumber high, almost ploughing through it with summer tyres. Never missed a bit! Keep up the good work!
Nice snow demo. I'm considering the 1.4 TSI. Wish Golf offered all wheel drive like the Audi A3, but they say Golf is a pretty good winter car as is with the standard front wheel drive. VAG has always claimed good winter capacity for the Golf.
The Golf handles the snow just fine. I agree it would be nice to have an AWD option. Have you considered the alltrack? Slightly longer but more or less the same and AWD.
I'm not in need of a bigger car (singel, no kids) so buying a larger car for the additional cost is nothing I have considered. I kinda like the compact car look. It's actually between the Golf 1.4L TSI and the Audi A3 Sedan with same engine, but over at Audi it's called 1.4L TFSI. The A3 is much pricier in my country and the equipment list is sparse, the Golf actually offers much more bells and whistles default than the A3, but they all say A3 feels more premium. At least in terms of interior quality, and I must admit they do a great job at that. However, the Golf seems like such a good buy with alot of bang for the buck. I do wish VAG had dared more with Golf, it is borderline boring and conventional looking - but the voice of reason is loud.
