I was a believer of our church, but hadn’t given my will to God . I was pregnant, 8 months with my second child . I smoked five a day .. Then we were on holiday at my parents place , and my mother was so saddened to see that I still smoked, I had try to quit many times in my own capacity but would rather have cigarettes than food .. As we were about to drive home , ca 4-5 hours ( this was a beautiful day in July) I was as healthy as could be . The last thing my mother said : Reudun, ask God to help you quit smoking, and she gave me some money aibi could buy something healthy she said . Well, my husband was driving, and I put my hands casually on my big stomach, eyes wide open, but I folded my hands . I didn’t want my husband to see that I was praying 🙏 I said : God , please help me stop smoking, I really want to stop but I can’t manage alone . We got home , and no sooner had we gotten home when I became soooo ill 😷 with something strange in my throat that I had never experienced before or since! It was painful to swallowing water and I had no food for 3 days, I also had a temperature .. So I was bedridden, my husband looked after our 5 year old daughter.. After 3 days I got up and I felt much better. My cigarettes were on the coffee table , and that was the first thing I wanted to do , to have a smoke. Then a voice so audible said : You have stopped smoking!! And I threw the packet away, never smoked since , never even wanted to . God heard my prayer 🙏 and after my son was born healthy, I was baptized and both children dedicated to The Lord on the same day ( I grew up as a SDA ) this is now 47 years ago . We need to cooperate with God , andHe will deliver . ❤❤❤

I grew up in the pentecostal church and have had the gift of tongues for 40 years .. I have always been told that the tongues were a language between you and the father..I know people have there opinions on this, so I respect everyone's views...God bless us all!! 😊

@@AngelaChristesen I understand. I may have been to more churches than you can even think of. Have you ever heard of the Strangites? They were the first ones that introduced me into 7th day Sabbath. Genesis 2:1-3. When they first told me about the Sabbath, I plug my ears, literally, with my hands! but that was about the only thing they had right. had they not introduced me to the Biblical Sabbath, I may not have accepted it later on, as they planted the seed. The Bible teaches us to take one subject and find all the Scriptures we can, on that same subject, to find out what each Scriptures is actually telling us to do. That’s all Pastor Doug is doing here is taking God’s word from the same subject to show what the Bible says concerning each teaching. I have another friend who speaks in tongues. I’m not looking down on you for it, because I understand where you are coming from. Jesus didn’t look down on people, when He walked the earth, because He knew where they were coming from. Although, He knew their thoughts, and all the exact words to say to them. He’s the pure example of perfection. I pray all the best, for all of us, concerning God’s words. Take care 💙🙏❤️🙂
