As a convert to Islam from Christianity, I was used to read the Wursn translation, just as I was used to read the bible which I then considered as a word of The God Almighty. I was never drawn towards the Hadith, unless it was mentioned in a lecture.

Allah has created the laws of nature to equalize everything. So, humans should study the Quran and look to nature to understand what Islam and being a Muslim are all about, which is NOT EQUAL to the Sunni/Shiite/Sectarian version of Islam & Muslim. The Sunni/Shiite/Sectarian version of Islam and Muslim causes a rift/split/division/segregation among humans. They abused _"Islam & Muslim"_ to differentiate themselves from others. _7:51__ Those who took their religion (as) an amusement and play and deluded them the life (of) the world." So today We forget them as they forgot (the) meeting (of) their Day this, and [what] (as) they used to Our Verses reject._ Now, go through each and every aspect/facet/pillar of the Sunni/Shiite/Sectarian religious belief and tell me if everything is not based on _"amusement/game/division/rift/split/differentiation/caste/class!!!"_ Everything about their religion is the very antithesis of Islam! peace to the world.
I appreciate you touching on the fact that we should look to nature. I agree, I believe we should look to how the world outside of humanity functions around us. I have been able to look back on experiences that have become clear, and I even think some of the events, past, present, and future, described in the Quran can be explained with scientific discoveries. I have yet to see anyone talk about them.

The question is, _"how do you wish to translate and interpret the Arabic word (وَالشُّهَدَاءُ ) in __57:19__?"_ The Sunni/Shiite/Sectarian translators & interpreters have mistranslated/misinterpreted that Arabic word as _"martyrs"_ to suit their Satan-inspired man-invented paganistic fairy tale. You can easily understand the true meaning when you understand basic Arab language. Firstly, the plural form ( وَرُسُلِهِ ) is used to mean MESSENGERS. Secondly, and most importantly, please focus on the last part of 57:19 where it says, *But those who HIDE THE TRUTH AFTER KNOWING IT (كَفَرُوا ) and INVENT LIES ( وَكَذَّبُوا ) to Our Verses,* those (are the) companions (of) the Hellfire. So, it becomes crystal clear that the Sunni/Shiite/Sectarian scholars have been lying to you for over a thousand years and everything you have been taught by them is nothing but Satan-inspired man-invented paganistic fairy tales masquerading as the Truth. You poor lost and misguided souls.
Christmas = Christ=Mas=worship. So in my opinion to wish someone happy Christ Worship is not appropriate for me, instead retort with something even better like seasons greetings and happy holidays.
