  • Setting drive motor creep on a Bobcat 743 | 743B skid steer loader involves the following steps:
1️⃣ Gather tools and materials: You will need a few basic tools to complete this task, including a jack, jack stands, a hammer, a punch, a pair of pliers, ratchet, a torque wrench, and a set of sockets.
2️⃣ Raise the skid steer: First, use the jack to lift the skid steer off the ground until the wheels are clear. Place the jack stands under the skid steer to support it while you work.
3️⃣ Remove your cab bolts and lift the cab
4️⃣ Using a ratchet loosen the control end stop blocks number 21 in video diagram.
5️⃣ Using the combination of a pry bar and a hammer adjust the end stop blocks forwards or backwards to increase wheel speed or decrease in front or rear direction.
6️⃣ Adjust the adjacent end stop.
7️⃣ Be sure to tighten the bolts to the correct specification and double check your work.
8️⃣ Lower the bobcat off the Jack stands with the bobcat turned off. Double check your work.
It is important to follow the steps in this process carefully to ensure that the control linkage is adjusted correctly and that the skid steer is safe to operate. If you are not experienced with mechanical repairs, it may be best to seek the assistance of a professional.

Nicely done as well as the drive motor rebuild video. There are a lot of these older skidsteers out there in need of repairs and some TLC. You are providing a real service to all of us out there that can use a helping hand. Thank you!!

It’s a piece of cake! Tackle it you’ll be happy you did, if you have any issues you more then likely need to rebuild the drive motors but honestly that’s a easy job also just check out my other video I did a step by step guide on how it do it

I recently got a 743 & a 909 backhoe attachment. The backhoe had leaks, so I replaced 12 hoses. Next, I could not turn on the aux. hydraulic outlets to power the attachment & found the linkage clevis pin had fallen out from the bottom 743 control valve spool. Thats now fixed but still no success turning the flow on with the right control lever. No matter what I do the right drive motor actuates and I get momentary flow to the backhoe plus motor actuation but no return flow from the 909. Any ideas on a fix? At this point I'm just confused.

Raise and block the loader arms makes the job ten times easier
