One video game OST piece I'd recommend is Rosalina's comet observatory theme. It's simple, but amazingly beautiful. And if you want to get into the music theory side of things, I know 8-Bit music theory has a lot of videos on the topic. You'd be surprised of the complexity of some soundtracks. Edit: I almost forgot, a great film composer, Joe Hisaishi, wrote for a video game. Can't remember the name of the game, but the soundtrack piece leavetaking is really good too
I agree with all the ratings , especially Journey, which is my favorite among all of the previous ones, but Zelda and genshin Impact also have some really great music, they really rank high in my opinion
You need to check out the soundtrack for Super Mario Galaxy, specifically Edit: specifically, Gusty Garden Galaxy, the Credits theme, Space Junk Galaxy, Purple Coins theme, and Luma are my personal favorite pieces from the game
Is there a video of you reacting to civilization 4, 5 or 6 (Christopher Tin, especially Baba Yetu and Signo di Volare) or any sort of Japanese A list game like Final Fantasy(often have very heavy orchestral scores)? Or: Stellaris or Mechanicus OST. You might like them
Try Yuka KItamura. For me, she´s the greatest female game composer on earth! Especially slave knight gael, Abyss Watchers, firelink shrine and Lady Maria
You completely missed the point and theme of Skyrim, so your scoring of 5.5 seems rather ignorant and misinformed. This is also coming from a classical musician...The Battlefield 1942 gives off some marine type vibes because of the Drum pattern in the background, and the Call of Duty theme with the rhythmic ostinato and the slow strings help instil a strict military type quality to it.

Video game music is what gets my kid to practice his piano!

My all time favourite is the HALO Soundtrack.
For music quality, I would advise Zelda of course, Professor Layton, and Ever Oasis (very underestimated)
Skyrim is supposed to be a viking realm, but it is landlocked in three cardinal directions. Game design fail.
All pop music is instant 0/10, not 9.5/10. Name and shame pop-listeners and mouth-breathers.
Wtf you talking about lol? I get it if you dont like Pop in general, tastes and all that

That moment when you realize brass players are mouth breathers.
