Hey man. Just wanted to let you know how you've inspired me. Since I've started watching your channel I've decided to get back into nature. Canoeing, camping, fishing. I was in kind of a depression in the last few years and got kind of a screen addiction. Now I've played video games all my life and probably still will but I now go out much more often so thank you so much for that. You're doing a great thing here.

It is SO crazy that I started watching your channel because of RDO and now your channel is headed in a direction I've always been standing on and really support. Things always get so difficult and messy but just keeping that purpose clear in front really helps to see all the aggravations but not get distracted with them. Gotta keep constantly working towards that purpose and be a better man because that's what I want and for my wife, and for my kids.

I certainly enjoy the stability of a regular job. And while my job isn't what I want to do as a career, I find ways to do what I want to do as a career in my current job. Much of it doesn't get noticed, or is ignored, but none-the-less it's what I want to do and I enjoy it.
The annoyances, the aggravations, are all part of life. The key is to find the optimized path in dealing or removing (if you're lucky) these obstacles.

Professor Elijah! Hello from your old student! I randomly Googled you and come to find that you're a RUclipsr with nearly 60K subs. Wow!!! 😳I wish you would have mentioned your online popularity to our class, haha. Anyway, I'm really sorry to hear about your departure from the college. I just recently learned you were no longer there, and was wondering where you ended up. So glad you see you doing so well. It sounds like it became a bad situation there, but I do admire you for not bending the knee to the craziness and standing up for what is right for you and your students. You were always a light in my undergraduate years and I thoroughly enjoyed our time together in your classes. The school definitely took a major L by losing you, but you're obviously off to bigger and better things. The country seems to suit you better than the city, anyway. :)

Hey Tom! Good to ‘see’ you again, man! Yeah, I didn’t start the channel until the college sent us all home when Covid arrived. Got tired of sitting around, so I got busy. How have you been, brother? What are you up to?
Thanks for the kind words regarding the college and my tenure there. For all their talk about inclusion and diversity they were quite exclusive of anyone with ideologically diverse views. But I suppose most institutes of higher learning are nowadays. Many great faculty members have left- either unjustly purged or simply fed up. There’s even some pending lawsuits against the school regarding wrongful termination of targeted faculty, along with curtailment of free speech. Sad to see it all happen, but they made their bed. I’m just happy to turn the page and get back to real life.
Feel free to continue the convo over email as well. themanvshistory@gmail.com gets forwarded to my personal account, so reach on out anytime! I’d love to hear how you found the channel! Talk with you soon, Tom!

I'm 17 and from the UK and I've been depressed ever since the covid lockdowns, and thanks to this channel I'm getting out into my local nature more (even if it's not as exciting as the US with bears and wolves 😂). Indeed, it’s become a religious movement as of late. I’ve seen it creep in under the guise of empathy and virtue, and shatter institutions- colleges, churches, businesses, and communities. Ironically, the very movement that sings of tolerance and diversity has zero tolerance for perspectives outside their dogma, or ideological diversity… the only type of diversity that should matter in higher education. Instead the movement demands coerced consensus, equal outcomes (by undermining academic integrity/ lowering rigor) and promotes the atomization of communities, with people retreating inside their identities. Consequently, your skin color, gender, sexual orientation- becomes the most important thing about you. These are then rank ordered on an arbitrary spectrum of oppressors and oppressed groups, and you are treated accordingly. The movement believes that through division one achieves unity… a concept only an ideologue, wholly disconnected from reality, could come up with.
As for the program!…. Yes, been writing it for the past year and a half. It’s a men’s self development program grounded in history and anthropology. Looking to the past to address the masculine crisis of the present. Just had a group of men come through the beta… which was awesome. I’ll be announcing more about it on the channel as we get closer to launching the next group.
