    Good move, happy wife, happy life. I like the way you going with simple welding projects. I think lots of us are beginners anyway and doing more with our welding tools would make a lot of women and me very happy. Thanks for sharing from Mexico.

    Angle is a good material for making simple projects like you show. Another very useful material to make lots of things is simple 1in.x1in. 16ga. square tube. It's easy to fit up, is fairly inexpensive, and strong. I have made tables, welding carts, work benches, and lots of other things with it. It's perfect for mig welding projects.

      Thanks! I definitely agree. I’ve used way more square tubing in that exact size than any other material.

    You know what nobody talks about? is how far you should attach your mass clamp from the working area, how far is too far, the closer the better, anything about where to put your mass clamp

    • @TimWelds
      @TimWelds  2 года назад

      Directly on the work is best, especially with MIG, but I just leave mine on the edge of my table and it works fine. If you’re stick welding and your metal blows out at the end of your welds (arc blow), moving your work clamp to the opposite end of your workpiece can help.

    • @luissalguero686
      @luissalguero686 2 года назад

      @@TimWelds how long is your work table, I know the closer the better but sometimes you can't just clamp it next to your welding piece, for some pipe welding is required to put the mass end right at the welding bevel, but if your welding lets say a 2 inches pipe gate and you can't clamp it right at the hinges for example then how far is too far? I know the closer the better but, when you buy the welding wire cords is suppose to be a length depending on amps and wire gauge but does it count the length between the electrode and the mass clamp?

    It could also be assembled by gas welding.
