  • Exciting video this one!
    Managed to catch an '07 Acco (the truck on garbage), and an early 2011 euro 5 (the truck on recycling).
    I hope you enjoy, these trucks have a good note to them, even the euro 5 with the big tip on the stack.
    Thanks to the drivers for being so friendly and letting me film!
    I will definatley be going back to get more of the '07 Acco!
    Cheers!

    Awesome one mate, nice surprise! Thorp waste definitely have the best trucks (or tied with Aussie Waste maybe)!
    That Euro 4 is amazing and that’s the best Euro 5 Acco ever I think, that pipe brings out the best in that Cummins ISL, sounds better than one with an exhaust leak! And that’s the best paint scheme ever!
    Definitely want to film these trucks at some point, imagine the first Euro 4 on a channel to be this beast 😂
    You actually caught a family friend’s bin on Swan Street as well which makes the video even better, never had a house I know’s bin been filmed by someone else before so very special mate!
    Overall incredibly awesome job mate 11/10, couldn’t be better!!

      Haha cheers mate! So glad you liked it! I thought it was an E4 at first (without seeing the fuel tank and exhaust cover) because of note the exhaust tip brings out!
      The euro 4 has such a good note to it, really brings back memories of the old Aussie waste rigs. These guys also have a mkIV I think- which would be really cool to catch!
      What a stroke of luck that is mate!
      Keen to go back and get more footage, especially of the '07!
      Cheers Xavier!

      @@TassieGarboSo did I when I saw the first clip until I saw the Euro 4 and registered that the Euro 5 was on recycling!
      A MKiV like this would be amazing! Aussie Waste’s #15 with this exhaust tip, rims and paint job would just be 🤩👌
      At first I thought it was a shame that the Euro 5’s auto rev was off but the idle on this truck is amazing and revving from idle just brings out the best in the Cummins ISL, shame that’s coming to an end now with the Cursor 9!

    • @TassieGarbo
      @TassieGarbo  Год назад +1

      @@wasteintasmania It sure would be mate!
      Me too, but I was thinking the same, as every Veolia truck has the idle up/auto rev on, it's actually interesting to hear one without it on and this one sounds great!
      It is a shame, these euro 5s are the last of the noisy accos, which personally I think is the way it should be 😂 The new trucks have a cool sound to them but I think it's because I grew up with noisy and great sounding trucks that I like them so much!
      Cheers!

      @@TassieGarbo New truck sounds aren’t too bad but old ones are much better! Although the Euro 6 Veolia has (which is quite an early one) does have a slightly deeper, throatier sound than say the Cleanaway ones!
      I’ve been around the older trucks ever since Aussie Waste, I live next to a highway so always here the trucks going up the hill and the jake brakes of them going down in the morning!

      @TassieGarbo  Год назад +1

      @@wasteintasmania It does have a nice growl to it! Gotta love a good Jake brake 🤤

    These GenVs look absolutely beautiful! And the general waste truck sounds like it just came out of the shop, it’s music to my ears. And I’m loving the designs on them as well. Great capture! Also have these been used much?

    • @TassieGarbo

      Cheers mate! It has a beautiful sound to it. These have been used in a rural council since new I think - so not much hard work and the drivers drive them so they last!

    Did this council use to run the black/orange truck with a trailer for recycling? I remember visiting the area a few years back and seeing that truck parked outside a house with a trailer in tow. I’m assuming those 240 recycle bins are a recent addition? Good video mate, good to see someone documenting stuff in Tassie!

    • @TassieGarbo
      @TassieGarbo  Год назад

      They sure did, I assume when they still had recycling crates. Both the bins were rolled out together I believe. Cheers mate!

      Cheers mate! I record on a 1080p camera with an optical lens. When I edit the video I sometimes boost the colours or sharpen it a bit depending on how the camera recorded it. Cheers!
