Pro tip find and use less viscous epoxy for the finishing coat, it makes it way more consistent and you don't have to mess with it with a stick. It's messier though so you need to account for that. Source: Uncle has a wood workshop and they do resin pours on tables and other stuff.
This is awesome. Is there a guide you reccomend that will outline things like materials and curing processes? I’m looking to diy my own but have never experimented so don’t know much about curing and different epoxies and what not. Thanks! Wrist rest looks amazing!
Looks great! Could the sword be printed from a resin printer (just ordered the Phrozen Sonic Mini), or is there something about the shape that makes FDM better for it?
@@EJTechandDIY thanks for the response! For the epoxy resin you coat it with at the end, is that just the same stuff as you used to fill the mold earlier?
Dude that looks amazing! How's the touch and feel when actually using it? I imagine that epoxy is rather soft to the touch but is it comfortable after a couple of hours?
Oh wow! That is such an incredible wrist rest!
Thank you, glad you like it.
Men i love this movie, and this wrist rest looks amazing well done.

@@DanielPerez-xo1tj Yes it is the same epoxy resin
Wow that looks sick, when can I buy one? 😅
Hahaha Im working on a way to sell some of the things i make.
Question: Is the wrist rest comfortable? You aren't selling it so honesty would be incredibly appreciated. Thank you!
Yes I have been using this one sense the day I made this video I and really like it. I working on a new design right now.
Dude that looks amazing!

Thank you, and yes the epoxy is nice and smooth it's really comfortable even after 8 hours of work
@@EJTechandDIY Awesome! I'm thinking about making a wrist rest myself. Sounds like epoxy could be a good candidate for that project then!
@@dachr2 for sure it is, give it a try I'm really happy with this one.
what resin did you use?
This is normal epoxy resin, and the brand is from a local shop here in my country
can you upload the 3D files for the mold?
Awesome.Job. I just messaged you in IG as well.
Thanks, I will check it out for sure
can i ask you where you from?
thank you in case
Hey Gimmy, sorry for the late reply, I'm from the Netherlands.
Unfortunately you can't see the swirling of the colors on the top. Only on the bottom
That was my mistake, I’m working on a new one and it’s gonna be better
👍❤️
