for 7900xtx users if your game crashes and its a GPU error ( you will know because everything will close like browser discord etc. . . ) try tuning the max GPU frequency to 2400 MHz. this will stop your 7900 xtx from being at 100% usage which can prevent the game from crashing. for anyone using slightly older GPUs from amd just take 100 mhz off at a time to find your sweet spot.

Another option is to revert to drivers 23.11.1 (and clean out the new ones), which have no reported instabilities. Third, there is an option in Helldivers2 that will lead to crashing no matter what version or dx mode you have set and it's the global illumination setting. Just turn it off. The frequencies modification might reduce crashing but will not eliminate it. It's a parallelization error in the drivers that can happen regardless. All the speculation about overclocking and power draw are just loose bandaid solutions. I'm about 50 hours into the game with the 23.11.1 drivers and a 7900xtx on stock clock settings and haven't had a single driver crash yet. Otherwise on 24.2.1 it wouldn't last but a minute or two
@@mr.pozole9891 You can just install them, but if you use Afterburner, you may want to perform a driver cleanup or DDU first because that app gets confused by leftover registry stuff from the newer drivers.
did a bunch of stuff to fix the game on the previous drivers and patch. new patch new drives issues repeated. i cannot be bothered to consistently fix a game on the user end cause they cant release a product. mindblowing really
i have 5 hours into the game and im at lvl 4 ive been able to complete a total for 4 missions and it drives me insane because it always crashes when im getting close to extraction, just found your video and hope this helps the issues i ve been having, have a 7900xtx red devil with a 5800X3D cpu with 64 gb of ram, really upsetting not being able to play the game

FOR RX 7900 XTX USERS ! After trying many things, here is what solved the crashing issue for me. It seems like it's a DX12 problem, simply set the game to DX11, and to do that, follow these steps: 1. Delete the DX12 installed on your PC : Open you "Run" command in your search bar > type %appdata% > Arrowhead > Helldivers2 > shader cache : delete everything inside of the folder > close tab. 2. Go to Steam > right click on Helldivers2 > properties > In the launch option copy paste "--use-d3d11" (Copy only what is in between the brackets) 3. Launch the game : Go to graphics option > Just make sure that "Screen space illumination" is turn OFF and that "Reflection quality" is set at Medium or lower. I play in 1440p, native resolution, all UTRA settings (except for the options mentionned above) and my game have been working perfectly fine. Let me know if that works for you, Helldivers. I dont have any issues during launch or while at the ship, but for some reason the game keeps crashing while in the middle of a mission. Not constantly but randomly. I just did a 40 minute mission and it crashed while we were about to Evac, it also seems to happen during a Meteor Barrage, not sure if the game can't handle the constant variables or something else

If anyone could inform me My RTX 3050 used to run helldivers perfectly fine 60-70 fps. But the max a few weeks ago was 15-20 Fps. And now every time i try to open it I get a play station crash. maybe a update error firewall error i dont know and i rlly wanna play helldivers :(
Specs look Very good. Only fix I have if you fully undervolted is to Verify the integrity of Game files on Steam. If that doesnt work then delete the cache and then verify. Otherwise play around with your voltage settings as possibly your PSU isnt giving enough power for it.

Ingame my Mouse Cursor is totally Invisible and Pops Up sometimes in the Menü but still Invisible there. Very weird! I think that's why so many crashes! It 1000% is a game problem. However if you want to play the game then you gotta do some work around… the game was never intended to have over 100k people playing concurrently

There are usually 2 or 3 files that need to be re-downloaded. As long as I do this, I can play without problems. It seems by playing, the files become corrupt again and I need to quit and re-verify after a while.
I dropped my clock speed to 2400 MHz and I’ve played 4 games straight without any crashes or mishaps so far so good , I’m gonna ride it out until than, thank you for all your help.

7800x3d + 4080 = crash. it worked with msi afterburner. i clocked the standard-clock - 500 Hz (gpu and memory). actutally no issue. save the profile and activate it.

Good News! They have fixed it👍 No Crash until now after 8 Hours Gameplay today. I have knowed it was the fault of the Game not the PCs of the People.

yup ive crashed many times since the new update. pre update i played 80 hours and had maybe 3-4 crashed in total.

Try undervolting your Nvdia. Not sure the exact steps but if you look at it try to keep the GPU volting around 2200-2400 MHz
