My daughter has a pottery barn backpack too . But - names on backpacks . NOT good. I’m a foster care worker and this may scare you but MANY kids get picked up by creepers saying their name and saying “ oh your mom told me to show you this “ etc etc ... I will never ever ever put her name on a backpack. Just a heads up
Thanks for the heads up. We did consider this and based on our situation we were comfortable with it being personalized but completely understand that it may not be the right decision for everyone or even for us if our situation changes.
Great supply's for your baby girl. What a fun time with starting school. If your like me then once next year rolls around you will get her a new backpack. Not because anything's wrong with the previous years but because they are so fun to pick out and helps the kids get excited for the year to come. I'm so excited for you with all the new things to come and stories to be told. Love your channel
Great haul! I came over from Jia/Marriage & Motherhood. When my little was in Kinder, they had to get the big Ticonderoga pencils -- I think they are called Beginners pencils -- they are thicker than standard pencils, but still have the #2 lead.
You will be surprised how much they lose their School supplies especially pencils ✏️ you can never be to prepared or over stocked 💕 mom tip put an extra outfit in her backpack 🎒 for emergencies 💕

Would you consider doing a review on pottery barn backpacks/ lunch supplies you bought. I watched the other video as well. I’m curious on your thought on them a school year later.
we do run threw pencils because in school there’s this trend you have to brake your pencil and make it look like an accident so your pencil can be double pointed with the broken side we take an eraser off of another pencil and put it on our broken pencil so you have a double pointed
Love markers pain glitter and sticker but I use to teach pre k so my job would suck if I didn't. I have younger brothers and yes they would go threw more than 100 pencils a year but not in the 2 years of kinder we have.
We get lucky for kindergarten. We pay a $20 school fee and that pays for all of their supplies. Our school wants everything the kids use to be uniform in kindergarten.
if you kid or kids want to use markers at home put a old shirt of yours or your husbands on the kids and make the shirts their art shirts for when they want to do markers or other messy art supplies
Hello, my daughter will start the kindergarten this year, we are from Brazil and I’m very confused 😢 I would like to know if we need to put some supplies in pencil box before the meet the teacher day? Can you help me? Thank you
Yes they usually give you a list of supplies to bring the first day of school or sometimes pre-k and kindergarten have a meet the teacher day and you can bring the supplies then
@@IndiaMorehead yeah i get it I dont mind buying that much and i can understand if its shared because some parents cant afford all supplies but where i live you get alot of charities doing supplies for free but i have seen plenty of people taking too much advantage of that 😒
I give my son 2 pencils for school everyday in his pencil box bt he comes home with 1. he says he lost it or gave it to a friend and then the other one he wil keep on sharpening and it becomes small. they don't write much but definitely keep losin it. I lost almost 10 pencils in 45 days of school 😂
I feel really bad for being here but this is what’s on my recommendation page I’m a 16 year old girl in high school with no children except my little siblings
Last year in kindergarten I had to send 72 pencils and 6 boxes of crayons 12 glue sticks this year in 1st grade 96 pencils and 4 boxes of crayons 10 glue sticks (the teacher even asked for more in the middle of the year🤨200 glue sticks gone I couldnt imagine 20 students 10 glue sticks each like where did they go) lol I'd recommend google the school list from last year typically the same supplies are required
Wow! I had no idea classrooms went through so many pencils! I am probably going to give that whole pack of pencils for the teacher to help her build a stash
is it that u have to donate stationary items to school or is it ur choice ? in India we don't hv anything lik that. we pay to school for books and bag rest pencils n all we cn buy which ever we want. earlier we could buy bags whichever we want but now schools have their own bags
@@sejalnithesh2134 No thats the list they require for 1st day of school most schools in the US put all the supplies together for kids to use as they need them which sucks I send my son with the good supplies he comes home with the cheap stuff… they only thing they use that is to keep in the desk is the pencil box and headphone everything else is set into a pile
@@NATY2811 we don't have to keep anything in school. kids carry their own stuff everyday it's not even heavy so I feel that's much better cuz ofcourse my son's school gives lik 10 pencils and 1 crayons box which is like cheap quality but we buy good stuff and it comes back home daily so that's one good thing. and even glue and all we don't hav to buy so many. jus one for my son. so I was wondering why so many things required and why are u guys giving it to school 😂

You are exactly correct. They have been saying this for 30 years. They call the kid by name so the kid thinks they know them. Scary
Yes the scissor sleeves always go missing but those are a good pair. I buy little by little once school supplies hits stores.

Haha, you’re probably right!!! Backpacks are my favorite part! Thanks for watching!

You are doing it right. It’s better to have too much then not enough. Your little will be excited.
Pottery Barn was a great choice!
My 9 year old has always been rough on bags, but her pottery barn bag still looks new even after a year of use.
Thanks, it’s great to hear her bag held up so well!
Fun haul! Yea the Ticonderoga pencils are the best.

Good to know and I will definitely take your suggestion about the extra set of clothes. Thanks !
Kkkkkkkkk the washable ones are good!!!!! ( I used height markers to)

Those erasers are so cute
Love this video... I agree about the markers 😆

My oldest son starts tk in August. We’re excited
Yay! How exciting!
What size is the pottery barn bag ? Does it fits a folder ?
Unfortunately, no, it won’t fit a full size folder. The width is about 2 inches too small.

I hate markers! I also hate slime and paint. We mostly buy colored pencils. They last longer because you can sharpen them.
My sons school requested 12 glue sticks for kindergarten 😩
India Morehead they probably have a class room bin meaning they share supplies
My daughter's kindergarten wants 25
Cheyenne Kennedy omg I really don’t mind buying the supplies I just hope everyone is buying for their kid if it’s “shared”
