I sadly owned a Chevy Vega as a teen. For which I found out to be a junk automobile. The Vega was a failure for Chevy because of engine issues with the aluminum die-cast engines. The valve stems were found to be faulty within the engines, allowing oil to seep through into the combustion chamber. This caused repairs that the company deemed unrepairable because of the aluminum aspects of the engine.
