For me, having strict instructors like these guys were a good idea. The reason is because we actually get to see them improve and overcome personal obstacles. Having instructors who point out their weak points for then to improve , for me, gives the show a sense of purpose and excitement. For the first season, I did not follow too much because It was just like they lived their lives and got filmed. But in this season, I see a purpose, see the unpolished skills of the characters and I am now bent on following their progress to see them overcome themselves.
The first season was about the girls fulfilling their Dreams together which is why it was more about living their life. With Min Hyorin dream about being in a girl group, the show had more rating on the girl group aspect. So that's why in season 2, they are more focus on girl group formation while fulfilling their dreams.

They got really popular because of it so I Guess they decided to do that for season 2.

If acting doesn't ultimately work out for Bora as a post-Sistar career, I could definitely see her as a dance teacher at Starship or opening a dance studio with Hyoyeon that would likely be quite successful with young women and even men coming to be taught by them in preparation for trying to become idols themselves or smaller companies that can't afford a dance instructor on staff sending their trainees to them. They certainly know what the companies want from main dancers and can cover a lot of styles of dance both men's and women's. Also both could probably work as consultants to prepare aspiring idols for working on variety shows as both have been very popular as regulars and guests on many variety show formats.
Chaeyoung and Yewon seem to be opposite, rite??? One is so confident but lack of protential. One has protential but lack of confident. But both are beautiful and have passion... hope they will success in future, at least in this girlgroup... i belive we will have a center and vocal...

Yewon seriously needs to instill some confidence in her own abilities. I feel like she has a very low self esteem especially after contracting vocal cord nodules. She has such a great character and is willing to work hard. It pains me sometimes to watch her doubt herself and her amazing talent in singing. Her voice is powerful yet possessing such a unique tone, I just hope that this program can help her gain some confidence in herself. She needs to accept the fact that she is talented and she needs to flaunt the amazing talents that she possesses.
I felt really bad to Jinkyung unnie. I know she is not good and didn't practice much this time. but I hope the editing team will stop comparing her to animal everytime she was wrong :( and the mentors' face look so serious. at least, laugh to make the atmosphere not too scary. i know she can do better if she tries harder! They definitely should not make it easier on Jinkyung. Didn't you listen to her interview? She said she slacked off BECAUSE she expected them to go easy on her. Even she admitted that the fail was her own fault. She needs them to be stern with her so that she will see the need to practice harder.

Bc even tho I could dance, I was expressionless and it made me realize the importance of expressions and what it does to your body, it gives more power and makes you do more wider movements when you're feeling it.

but they aren't entertainers, they are REAL professionals. This is their job, it's not a joke. If the show wanted funny people to teach the cast members, they would have casted someone else...but I'd doubt they'd have the credentials these choreographers have. They are the reality part of the show, the variety is for the cast members.
to be fair, the people they casted were actual professionals who do this for a living, so they can't help but take this extremely seriously. jyp was probably able to be more fun about it because he himself was a celebrity, too, so he kind of understands the situation, but there were also plenty of times when he got mad at them for only joking around for the show.

Kang Yewon is too shy and it reflects on her hairstyle and fashion choices as well... I think she needs to have a change on fashion and hairstyle that shows more of herself... not sexy but that would make her look happier...
Came here after quite some time.. Watching it now, Yewon reminds me of myself. I started dancing just few months ago and I can tell I'm very bad. I'm stiff and I can't even listen to the music nor can I memorize the choreography in short time. Oftentimes, I feel bad that I'm being burden to the team. However, I'm practising non stop despite of my potential. I hope I can improve like her...
watching this again right now ..... yewon has really improved a lot .....when they first test yewon's dance skills ..she was ranked as the worst dancer in the group ..and now , in the recent episodes , she is among the best dancer in this group .... i'm really proud of you yewon ..
