JCB, always looking for a better way.
When I see that driver jump out like that I just want to shout "HERO!!! "🤣
LOL.. Lunch.. dame what fool dung a 6'x6'x12' right there..
😂😂😂 i can see all the H & S officers scribbling method statements and suspensions like crazy
It hurts my back when he jumps out like that!
@@csil2863 Yep, let alone Health wise, that had to be the must unsafe of ways to exit/enter the machine, let alone open the door.
Take wet muddy conditions, no site is ever dry.. the excavation work and likely over time greasing the slide rails, it was done.
This man was just the JCB promotion operator, given if had to work the machine all day, weeks on end... well would not work and most likely end in injury.
I killed the blood supply to my hips jumping out of JCBs and tipper lorrys avascular necrosis
Hiring an acrobat to show how easy it is to get out was brilliant 🤣 and I thought that was the best bit until they planted a dead cut down tree 🤣🤣🤣
Jumping out of the digger like that would get you sacked or kicked off site today
Spoilsport lol!
don’t work for wankers thats your best bet!
Unfortunately
Wouldn't it just
Yes, elf and safety spoilsports...
Australian here,we had a JCB 2 backhoe on the farm in the '80's.Though a bit underpowered by the Nuffield 3 cylinder motor and a 5speed manual trans with a really slow reverse,it was a big digger with the hoe.I really liked the 2 stick hydaulic control. We replaced it with a Case 580 CK and I'm still having trouble with the Cases 3 stick hoe controls as I was so use to the JCB ones.
good to see film of the old machines at work, we still use a JCB 3 mk 1 on our farm, its got the fold up onto the roof rear window and its based on a super major tractor engine, gearbox and back end.
Does it have 4 levers to operate the back actor? They used to call them piano controls when they came out first.
@@michaelwalsh9145 no ours has two levers directly down into the valve block to operate the back actor, the other two levers operate the jack legs
@@madeljacky thanks
JCB is a great piece of construction machinery and it has many other Firms have copied this model ! Thanks for sharing ........
Couldn't go wrong with a MF 50 B.. lest had a proper door.
Knock houses, build flats. Knock flats, build houses. I notice a cycle
What a funky looking backhoe and a huge pain to get in and out of.
That's why u should have went for the 3c mk2 or 3c mk3 lad
This was the 1960's. No one gave a shit about ergonomics back then. All that mattered was the machines could get the job done which they did.
A time when everyone lived in a brick building. The actor jumping out of the machine was comical at best. You could see his jerkiness when operating this as no competent operator would be that bad. Thank God for JCB and the founder for helping us forward our industry of work.
Look at this can’t beat the good old days 👍🏻🇬🇧
Great to see the old jcb at work 👏 outstanding
After carrying her through the front door he banged the back door off her over the kitchen table 🤣🤣
Arr, you can feel the sense of optimism in this film, the operator wearing a tie and overalls using his King Dick Ratchet on those Clamping Bolts, his sense of purpose as he goes about his work. Happy days!.
JCB's own Operator.. right down to the sledge hammer... LOL.. Had it been B the Builder..
Do you have to be an accomplished gymnast to operate this machine ?
Really Wonderful story classic And story for JCB Backhole i love the classic story And vintage machines ..Awesome video bud Thx 👍😊👍
Well what a jolly good show.😆
I shall jump from my cab and move the boom. For much better digging, and loosen and tighten my bolts. 🤣
With a massive ratchet. 😱🤪👍
Yeah you cant imagine why in the mk2 they went to hydra clamps in place of the manual bolts can you :)
Probably filmed in the early 1960’s, the price of that detached house would have been about £4,000 in England.
No reflective clothing nor hard hats in those days on building sites.
I drove a JCB loading shovel a few years ago the seat was air sprung it had brilliant heating/air con touch screen controls and a CD player with belting speaker system
World class for its time
It's not surprising as Service Fitter, could never grease the bucket pins..!
That first bloke knocking down a building by slewing the complete back actor would have had the sack for that. As would the next bloke loading the lorry with the back actor stuck right out like that. He's also very lucky anyway insofar as none of those bricks came out over the back of the front bucket and came down and smashed his windscreen. Getting in and out of the cab could be nasty. Many times I caught one of the levers in my boiler suit or jacket and suddenly the boom would come flying up to meet you or, worse still, if you caught the slewing lever and suddenly it looked as if you were going to get crushed between the boom and the slide rails. But the machine was a great improvement on a shovel ! As a great friend of mine used to say "there's no pain with one of those" when he was talking about the digger. As someone else has said, it was a Super Major skid unit and there were no front supports for the engine, it all hung on the bell housing which I always thought was a bit crude. Mine was the first JCB I ever bought. Purchased s/h in 1969 for £350 !
Back when houses were built for people to buy and live in .... Ah those were the days
I remerber
these,, machines, long, time, ago
Nice video, watched it as we've just got (now sold) a 63 JCB 3 that had stood outside on a farm for 20 years, cab and mudgaurds are rough (all there except for rear window hatch but lots of rust) but runs and works ok, actually quite a cute little machine as it's significantly smaller than the 3C's/CX's etc.
Ela funciona bem faça o vídeo dela
Is it in Bexhill
Blimey, pre Hydro-Clamp days?
Drives a JCB whilst wearing a shirt and tie.
My father was a carpenter on site and always wore a collar and tie.
Now give everyone air conditioning, a softer seat, and here everyone is so happy and even without doors), there was a time.
The backbone of the iconic @jcb backhoe
What a brilliant little film, many thanks ❤
Interesting way to exit the cab, never seen that done before, great old school video thou...
There's a couple of notch back rear window Ford Anglia's, so it's post 1959, the JCB has a local Staffordshire registration as JCB is in Staffordshire,it was probably a factory demo model, SBF xxx was issued in October 1961.
Excellent nostalgia trip 👍👍👍
Anyone know any of the roads were these new homes are ? Be great to look them up now
Funny. I doubt many operators can exit there machines like this man could. Not in the UK anyway, Perhaps in India there slim guys.
My man’s a gymnast!
Just found this channel today and love your video! you got a new subscriber..😍
i like this bulldozer a lot
The HSE would love the exit and entrance into the excavator, I don’t know how we managed to survive 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Back in the days when a man actually could carry his wife over the threshold lol!!😂
Great video 👍.
Great digger in their time, leaked like a sieve when they got on a bit,
Great vídeo, thanks !!!
Not a high Viz in sight those where the days

That house today, 1.4 million
A great documentary about Ya Mum
Excellent video 👌
when machines worked
Mr Reg Williams driving there, later to become JCB Demonstrator Boss
I like JCB
Os faróis da frente e atrás como são os acessórios dessas máquinas de terraplenagens a John Deere quando fabricou a máquina retroescavadeira ela já está com a característica já na operação eu também falo das máquinas com as características das máquinas de terraplenagens
No quick coupler ? 😂
He had to carry her over the threshold and shut the door first.
Super👌😊😊
Joseph Cyrill bamford
The UK was charming then.
What a shame it's turned into..
8 seconds in and I'm making comment on full side swing slamming into a wall to break it. Not much has changed with digger 'wanna be' scooper driver, meat in the seat lever pullers.
I think that’s how they demolished buildings in those days.
@@radharcanna It's a 2 for 1 special, demolish the building and get the machine demolished for the same price at the same time.
@@skadill 🤣🤣🤣
low power comparison to today equipment
Was this known as the Californian cab.
there was a jcb backhoe loader towing a russian tank in Ukraine i seen on line a few days ago (apex predator)
😎😎😎👍
Классно👍👍👍👍👍

Not much comfort in that cab. No heater, tinted glass, stereo or comfy seat. You would be sore and colourblind by the end of the day.
Made when men were men .
It should be 4wd that's what I found all the weight on front wheels wheels spin on back old technology
a backhow can do both but is far from ideal
Why are your hydraulic filters $500+?
Not a high viz in site
Tbh it looks like a POS lol but it had some cool features
You need a lot of practice before using backhoe digger.
You know what JCB stands for?? Junky Crappy Backhoe 🤣
It stands for company founder itself,Joseph Cyril Bamford,go write nonsense somewhere else
