There should be a vent on top of the trans, it may be plugged causing the trans to loose it's juice when it heats up. too if you have a trans cooler in front of the radiator if the lines are not attached correctly it will allow the fluid to leak.

I had the same issue with my th350. The fluid would drain back to the pan after a few days and leak. Ended up my kickdown cable was cracked close to the trans. And new oem type cable and no more leaks. The after market cables are junk.
Those axle bearing/seals can be a hit or miss the seals can leak. Took me two of them before I found one that didn't. I cut the old bearing and lock ring off with a cutoff wheel. Then had a local shop press the new one on.

    • @DDSpeedShop

I bought a 57 Pontiac Hearse parts car many years ago. It had an electric wiper motor, and I put it in my 53 Pontiac. It bolted in the place where the original vacuum wiper motor was, but I had to lower the left side horn to give room for the electric motor. It's still set up like that and working fine.

they sure do. Cost's big buck and I'm not sure if we're keeping the car long term or not yet

The people who don't like the mess never built shit in their lives. It's a garage on an operating room.

Subscribed. You mentioned trying the marvel on your (vacuum?) Wiper motor. There is a good quick how to on reviving one with just ATF. Marvel might work too but search on youtube: "1954 Chevy wiper lube"
