    In this video, learn to make prawns ghee roast recipe. It is the Manglorean Prawns Ghee Roast recipe. Spicy ghee roast recipe with prawns made in Manglorean style.
    Ingredients to make Manglorean prawns ghee roast
    To Marinate the prawns
    • 250 grams prawns, deshelled & deveined
    • 2 tbsp curd/yogurt
    • Salt
    • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    • 1 tbsp lemon juice
    To Make the Ghee roast masala
    • 2 tbsp coriander seeds
    • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
    • 1 tsp cumin seeds
    • 1 tsp black peppercorns
    • a pinch fenugreek seeds
    • 8-10 byadagi red chilies
    • 6-7 garlic cloves
    • Tamarind
    Other ingredients
    • ¼ cup ghee/clarified butter (divided)
    • 1 onion
    Method:
    1. Marinate the prawns & set it aside for 30 minutes.
    2. Roast the ingredients to make ghee roast masala (except garlic & tamarind). Transfer it to a mixer/grinder jar.
    3. Add garlic, tamarind & water & grind to a fine paste. Set it aside.
    4. Heat 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter over high heat.
    5. Add the marinated prawns & cook. Remove it on a plate.
    6. Transfer the excess marinade to a bowl & set it aside.
    7. In the same pan, add onion & 2 tbsp ghee/clarified butter.
    8. Stir fry the onions until golden.
    9. Add the prepared ghee roast masala & the liquid reserved while cooking the prawns.
    10. Add salt to taste.
    11. Cover & cook until the masala starts to leave ghee from the sides.
    12. Add prawns & curry leaves. Mix & cook it for 5-7 minutes over low heat.
    13. Delicious prawns ghee roast is ready.
    14. Serve prawns ghee roast wit Roti/steamed rice as a side dish.
