- Hi everyone! As this was the third day of our holiday, we had started to get our bearings and find our feet in the resort.
There will be a full "What we ate" video and "Resort tour with tips and tricks" from what we learnt over the two weeks coming. Please subscribe and keep an eye out for those videos if you are looking for more detailed information on the resort.

Another quality Vlog! Reckon I'd have had the vindaloo as well. That resort looks immense! You may have convinced us to head to Mexico 🇲🇽!! Sun cream was a bit pricey though. Looking forward to the next one!! 👍🏻

The Chichen Itza day was our favourite. Long day but well worth it. That one will be up in a few weeks. The next vlog is a day on Isla Mujeres which was another stand out day and should be on your list if you do ever book. Have a good week mate 👍

It was brilliant. It has some faults like everywhere does but overall it was superb. Some people have some seriously un realistic expectations though and think that because they spent a couple of grand they should be waited on hand and foot and not have to wait for anything. That always tickles me wherever we go 😂😂😂

The more i see this hotel the more i want to go- in my eyes nothing beats a themed hotel and probably one of the main reasons why i book specific hotels - the service & food all looked amazing - 6 weeks and counting for us Tenerife, Florida and then Ibiza - so missed having holidays - have a lovely weekend guys - scorchio🌞
Hi mate. We were so happy we chose PH and we are the exact same as you and love all the theming. It does have its little faults here and there (as most places do) but we have no regrets. Loved it 😎

Just watched both your vlogs, its so good and so different to when we went, obviously more people so more things available and the nights are so much better. Sadly though we were allowed on the slide and i can assure jim he swerved it as i scraped my arse on the base of the pool!! Not a good luck( definite thong moment) 😂😂 thankyou for sharing. Cant wait for chitzen itza and isla mujeres( you did pronounce it right) we loved them both but soooooo sweaty! 😂😂. Have a great week.

One question, is it safe for a single person to stay in Planet Hollywood hotel and would u recommended getting a star class for me?. Would love to hear ur thoughts. Enjoy enjoy your vacay☺️☺️
Its a very safe resort from our experience. Star Class is a very personal choice. We didn't feel like we particularly missed out on anything but there are lots of perks if your budget allows it 😊
Another great vlog. I’m really wanting to go here as opposed the the resort I normally go to. The breakfast looked a bit lacklustre compared to the buffet but it’s nice as an option. The all inclusive really is great when you can get a decent holiday without having to worry about drinks, ice cream or food and there’s so much choice. Did you tip in US or Mexican? Whilst the staff appreciate any tips they prefer Mexican as they struggle to get good rates changing it at the banks. Also the plastic polymer Mexican notes in M$20 and M$50 are perfect for tips and don’t get ruined in the pool in your pockets.
We didn't have the room service breakfast again and tended to get a box to go at the buffet if we wanted something quick and easy. We took a mixture of USD and Pesos and tipped with both during the two weeks 😊
Really enjoying these vlogs. Quite a different holiday for you! I love your Florida vlogs too. And watched the Abu Dhabi ones this week! All of the places you have visited look fantastic. I’ve never been to Florida and really want to take my children in the next couple of years but I’m so put off by the cost once out there as I’m so used to all inclusive holidays. Would you say just save like crazy and go for it? Do you feel it’s worth the money even with the costs all increasing? X
Hi Kate and thanks very much. We absolutely love Florida but it has got so expensive in the past couple of years and the terrible exchange rate doesn't help. That being said, if you can make it work then go for it. The kids would have an absolute blast ❤️

This does look like an incredible family resort but I must say I do prefer the more natural Mexican looking hotels rather then these huge ones that are all concrete. Went a few years ago and stayed in Akumal and the hotel was set within the jungle on the beach which felt a bit more natural. Feels almost like this hotel would be better set in Florida. Excellent vlog as always though.
I can totally get where you are coming from Lauren. We chose this for the movie theming and on site amenities for Jimmy. I watched a video of Hotel Excaret Arte which is more what you are describing and looks insane. It is so expensive though and wouldn't be within our budget unfortunately lol. Thanks for watching 😊
Hi guys v.ery informed reviews I have,e a couple of questions regarding the hotel. Firstly due you tip? If so how much and what for? Secondly what is the beer like is there larger or do they have other types.regards Martin
Hi Martin, it was Dos Equis in the minibar and draft lager in the resort and I believe other beers too. We tipped housekeeping and the minibar person (they are seperate) and usually 3-5 USD a day for each. The pool waiters work in zones so if we knew we were staying by the pool for a few hours i would tip 10 at the start. If not we would do a couple of dollars every other round. For the buffet I'd leave a couple of dollars for the guys who brought drinks over / more cuttlery and dinner would usually be 10 from memory. Tipping isnt mandatory but appreciated by the staff and they work really hard. Hope this helps 👍😎

Hi there, it was very hot and humid but fine with lots of pool and lazy river time. We only experienced rain twice during the two weeks and it was over as quick as it started. Have a great time 😎
Hi. Myself my wife and our 4 year old daughter go to Planet Hollywood Cancun next week.... Really looking to it, however, I'm a tad worried about the reviews on TA regarding the problem lot of rooms have with damp. Did you have this issue or hear others complaining about it? Hi James, we didn't experience any damp in our room. We were in block 27 on the top floor. I genuinely think that a lot of it may be to do with people leaving their balcony doors open or constantly going in and out. We genuinely loved our holiday there and have no regrets whatsoever about booking. Its not perfect but where is? Hope the three of you have an amazing time 😎

Hi Katrina, I could never get the locator to work on the website so I emailed and sorted it that way. If you could pop me an email over I can share the contact address with you. The cocktails were those typical pre mixed ones but absolutely fine for by the pool or in the grotto bar 😍

Hi Nikesh, no - we were there June 3rd to the 17th. We enjoyed the food in Sutra the first time but it wasn't as good on the second night we visited. Hope you enjoyed the wedding and your stay at PH 😊

It’s been YEARS since we’ve done an all-inclusive in Mexico, certainly before we had kids (so 10 years at this point). Did you feel safe there? Even at the airport and all off-site excursions? The US media implies that Mexico is very unsafe recently, which is a bit ironic since the US is the country with mass shootings daily. Curious for your thoughts.
Hi Rachel. We felt completely safe from the moment we landed in Cancun until the moment we took off. The hotel itself is very secure and even when we were returning from excursions they were thorough. We explored Isla Mujeres and felt totally safe and no issues at Chichen Itza, Ik Kil or the lovely little town we stopped at for Churros on the way home 😍

Hi, it certainly is. It's brilliant in there too and it stays open late 👍
Are the snacks the maid tops up free
In Star Class you get snacks in the mini bar but in standard (like us) you just get water, fizzy drinks and beer but if you leave a note with your tip you can ask and we got M&M's, chocolate milk and crisps 👍

Disney has never been the be all and end all for us. There's a big world out there... and we prefer Universal anyway 😂👍
