Really, thank you for caring and nice words for Vietnam as well as events Communist Party Congress 13 th of our country. And it seems a lot of people have confusion or wonder about the similarities between Vietnam, China, Cuba, and North Korea. Many people even have negative comments for us, including Cuba for friends that Vietnam loves. So I would like to have a word with you as a Vietnamese people born and raised in Vietnam (and not a member of the Communist Party). Yes, we are all The Communist Nations. But we are not the same, the paths we take are also different. A lot of the details within us are differrent, with different visions and purposes. Like British democracy was not the same with American democracy, German democracy, other Russian democracy…. Don't force your thoughts and superficial knowledge about a world you don't understand. I'm sure you've never set foot in Vietnam, Cuba, China or North Korea. I feel it's unfair to hear what you say about our friends. It is true that the North Korean government has made bad decisions for many years, but you and me, we are not them, we do not understand what/how they have to endure when they are put under US' heavy economic sanction. Cubans are trying to get their doctors abroad to work, but because of the intervention of the White House, even it's very hard. I don't know which country you are in, but the allegations you are making about Cuba are fake products of the Western and American media. I urge you to learn from both directions carefully, not just listen from one side. Before 1975 to 1989, the whole world, lead by the US and China, adorned the image of Vietnam as a warlike and cruel communist nation. And everyone believed that except our Soviet friends, who supported us both physically and mentally. It has taken Vietnam more than 45 years to prove to the world for ourself that Vietnam is a peace-loving country, we only fight when our territorial interests and independence are violated. Take Vietnam as an example. And think carefully about the evil fabrications that the Western media are saying about Cuba. And remember that at any given time, any nations, when the common interests are respected in a constructive cooperation spirit, will bring great benefits. If 1995, Vietnam and the United States did not let go of the past to become friends with mutual respect, there would be no Vietnam today. So I really hope the United States and their allies can think more openly towards Cuba. Vietnam's history can prove one thing that can never subdue or rule a people with fear and intimidation. The longer the embargo, pushing the difficulty to the end, will no longer be afraid, but instead will only anger and hatred. Do not push anyone to the end of the wall. Most importantly, The Communism 2020 is no longer the Communism the world remembers as it was many years ago. The fall of the Soviet Union is a great lesson, we all must change in order to survive. Like IT operating systems, no system is perfect and is always had bugs and errors. The State apparatus of Vietnam must be upgraded and repaired annually year by year through over 45 year until now to suit international law and protect the interests of the people. Every Nations have their own problem, Even US. We have to deal with it and fix bugs every day. So why don't we help another and make the world a better place together instead of embargoing each other. The world has had enough bad things about epidemics, natural disasters, and terrorism to deal with, really don't need more
Actually, Vietnamese people don't really care too much about the fact that they are governed by a communist party. It doesn't have a large impact on their daily lives.
The world has had enough bad things about epidemics, natural disasters, and terrorism to deal with, really don't need more
Yeah, i feel kinda offended when people in the Western countries keep misunderstanding us just because our country is communist.
At least our government is not a hypocritical snake, unlike that of our giant northern neighbor 😏

Actually, Vietnamese people don't really care too much about the fact that they are governed by a communist party. It doesn't have a large impact on their daily lives. They are allowed to criticize the government and enjoy the Internet with little censorship. "Đảng Cộng sản" (communist party) is just a word thrown around in slogans, most Vietnamese don't really understand the term and are quite confused to see Westerners despising communism so much.
