Girl u are such a breath of fresh air! You are so cute, articulate, engaging and (obviously) intelligent! It's so refreshing to hear a woman speak (at length) without constantly hearing "like" and "ummm" a hundred times over! I have 2 daughters with LONG, fine textured hair (their father is black, I'm white) that is a LOT of work for me, so I am considering locking them which is why I came across your channel. You definitely have a new subscriber here! Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
OMG I've always noticed this phenomenon. Men's locs are so full and healthy, and I've always thought it was for the same reason you mentioned-less manipulation. In general, most guys hv never dyed their hair, used hot combs, blow dryers, used pins, conditioners or relaxers, over a lifetime, so that by the time they make that decision to loc it up, it's virgin hair, so to speak. I've thoroughly enjoyed these videos. So informative. Please don't stop! I'm a fan. Happy I found you. Gby.
I have 230 locs on my head and I just knew I was going to combine, well I combined about 5 and took out 3 of them out because it took away the fullness in those areas. Now I just feeeform, wash and go, separate if needed. I'm only in my 8th month, but my new growth is on fleeeek. Team queen illusion here! I would rather have short full locs than long skinny. sickly locs. Thanks for your info, your locs look great!
Pulling that hair up to wear it down is it, your tips and tricks for fullness are right on girl. I used to always pull my hair up at night for fullness or always put rollers in with loose pressed hair and loved when it when it would swell, even when it had no curl as long as I had that fullness poppin'.
Thank you queen for making this video. I have thin textured hair and have over the years stumbled upon many of these techniques. There aren't many videos out there on this and you are right on point.
Wow! Thank you +salt&light ! Finally videos addressed to fine textured hair! Thanks a lot for sharing these VERY useful tips! I am at 10 months on the journey next week and I finally gave up the Lauryn Hill ideal lol! I especially appreciate the opposite way of wearing your hair at night before! I will have to wait a year before I can try it out but it is so counter intuitive I would have never thought of it. Thanks!
Excellent video series! I love your disclaimers. So many people on RUclips speak as if they are experts. We are all on here to figure out what works for our individual situation, and suggestions are appreciated more than those who dictate what you should do. Your videos are entertaining and although all of your tips may not work for me, many of them will help me. Thank you! I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
New subscriber! Your series restored my love for my fine hair. I will never be team Lauryn Hill... It's ok!! Thank you for all your ideas for styles and methods!!! God Bless you!
I'm still here!!!!😁😁 I personally like to braid my Locs and do a braid out...the crinkles give it the "illusion" of looking fuller as opposed to having my Locs straight and looking thin.😉😉
Totally agree. Men's Locs are usually more healthier than women's Locs. It is true they don't mess around with it as much as we do. I'm a low maintenance kinda girl. I love the freedom Locs provide and I gladly keep my hands out of them. Lol.
+SheLovesLight Yaaaaaasss!!! If I was gonna be doing all this extra stuff, I woulda just kept my loose natural hair!!! Lol. I'm tryna get like the fellas in 2016
I agree with u 110% about guys locs always looking full and healthy. I was just sitting there thinking about that the other day. After saying all of that, would like to know how you did that style lol its so cute
Amen to overstyling! It's true, just like with skin and eyelashes: the fellas just leave it alone and they end up looking better. Not ALL the time... cannot neglect it, but less is MORE!
Great info.TFS. I actually combined my locs the same way. and yes we women do mess in our hair way too much. I am working on that. be blessed and keep the vids coming for 2016.
that's they exact way i combined my locs.....side by side....stiched together......i think im gonna do a few more because the stylist who started mine of course did bigger in the middle and smaller on the edges so i need to go around on my edges and put more together, that's where all of mine are combined at....around the edges
why not? a lot of ppl 2 strand twist when combining locs n they come out perfect 😕 n I've always felt that way about men locs they shits be so Beautiful 😍 n u right they dont
