A tree grew tall
Its top reached into the blue sky.
Its branches reached toward the earth below,
In its roots was a white monastery.
In the monastery, Saint Mary
Holds the Lord Christ in her arms.
She rocks him and entreats him:
Grow, grow, my child,
So that you may rule over heaven and earth.
The earth belongs to your father,
Heaven belongs to your grandfather.
