WHY did I sell THIS POND? 1 ACRE I MISS.

- I visit my former home located in Wayne IL.
For 21 yrs I called this place home, it has a pond in front with goldfish, 1 acre pond in back which is still home to big prized koi and ducks.

So cool to see you reflect back and not only appreciate what you had, but also appreciate what you have now.
You lucked out having someone who loved your place as much as you did. I can't even go to my old house I built because I fall apart in tears. I thought they were going to love it like I did but the place has run down. The Pond is gone all my beautiful weeping cherry trees, dogwoods, crabtrees and Japanese maples are gone because they killed them or cut them down. I am happy for yall that someone loves your old home like you did. I had two black Labrador retrievers and they were named Fric and Frac....lol...I about lost my breakfast laughing so hard while eating. God bless...your wife should not be shy she is beautiful!

I'm so happy you were able to find someone so I love with the property as you were and someone that appreciates it as much a you did. This must of been hard to see your old home so different inside with all different furniture from when you lived their. Man, this is such an incredible property, and the water feature is still AMAZING!!! I was lucky enough to visit many times... so many great memories there!

Still amazing, I'd be heartbroken to let this place go!! Over the yrs I've raised it all it seems. Love all wildlife! Had aquariums since 5 yrs old, and at 65 still going strong.. and raise orchids as another side hobby, as well as gemstone collecting.

Greg, both ponds are wonderful...your first love however is paradise! :) I wonder if she relocated the duck house to a floating island setup next to her flowered island if it would give better protection for the ducklings to survive. (with that many dogs could be scoobie snacks too but the island would be a better area for them)

One thing about this hobby that sucks is you cant always take it with you....you just got to hope the people who take over appreciate it as much as you. Often times though they don't understand it or cant keep up with the maintenance and it falls into neglect. The same same goes for people who garden and have botanical collections.

I completely understand now.
The very reason you had sold you dream home pond... is all because when it comes to the other half, we men stupidly let the women make all thy decisions. Which, some decisions end up to be prospering. As for other decisions, they end up bringing more suffering into the picture. Being full of consequences all smashed into one big underlying fault that wasn't yours. As for other decisions, well, reasons to why who will ever know. Tho its a feeling of being situated in situations as if your stuck in idol. For your trying to make moves in plans but you just can't move forward. That being so I've come to know it wasn't and isn't thy decision made in the first place. For which is what happens when you let all the decisions be up to your other half... that being said its thy stupidity in not wanting to make thy decisions in the first place and also not wanting to leave your other half side... in order to come to terms just know that it wasn't thy decision that was made in the first place, souly not being thy fault...
But as for time and as far as time goes on all will come to pass and come together and work out for the best. For thy future and thy future builds. also for those you've built ponds for. bringing thy life built of life. For All thy new growth have surrounded henceforth built with a purpose and they had came, bringing all walks of life...
