“But if you’re cheating, that’s cheating.” So sweet! I love your videos! You guys are incredible and I love how you raise your kids to work to the best of their abilities! I have a physical disability that I was born with and use a manual wheelchair to get around. I was fortunate enough to have a dad that had gone through medical school so he had more knowledge than most parents of what I would be capable of doing right from the gecko when I was born. Some kids need to take a different path to achieve their goals and that’s ok!
Absolutely not. I have dyscalculia and dysgraphia. Along with DCD. It gets better adulthood is just going to be different. I have good healthy life. My life is just different. Then my neurotypical siblings. But I am happy and have family and friends. It just took me longer than other people.
Amazing job Luke I’m so proud of you I really enjoyed watching all of you guys so much I can’t wait for your next update videos!!! Keeping up with the awesome working Luke love you so much staying safely everyone 💙❤️💗💜💕💓🤎🖤💘💝♥️
That’s a great method to use! I should point that out to my daughter she’s very booksmart but I’m not sure if she would remember about tax and that’s a good way to make sure you have enough money! I see a great future and out of the house as an adult for Luke!
Wow I just love how you’re getting so many life skills in on this not only with the cooking you’re going to do but the shopping the rounding the hand writing making a list and putting it in categories. Just fabulous I’m getting so many good ideas free from you!

I think Luke will be a fantastic chef! I am curious, do you pay tax on food? And, if so, how much? Is there the same tax all over Canada, or do different areas have different taxes? In California, every county can have a different tax. Thank you!
The tax rate is different depending on the province in Canada, for us tax is broken up as provincial sales tax 7% and goods and service tax 5%. Some items have a 7% tax, some 5% and some get both equaling 12%, our healthy groceries tend not to have taxes but snack foods are taxed.

Not that it matters of course. But I notice sometimes when Luke talks, he repeats a word or two several times. Does he also have ocd along with his autism. I’m autistic myself, so I was just curious, because sometimes I do the same thing,
I'm a 28 year old woman and I can't do much math so it's hard going to the store because I can't estimate how much groceries I have in my cart but my aunt helps me. Still it's hard though I have foodstamps and I say it's going to be a small trip but end up spending half my money.
Unfortunately the prices are increasing drastically right now and everything is getting very expensive, we will be planting lettuce in the garden very soon.

“...doing right from the gecko when I was born.” Auto-correct goof? Funny! Should be “from the get-go”. But sometimes mistakes are real fun.
The kids need to understand (in cooking) there are “shortcuts” & those “shortcuts” are not considered cheating.

British Columbia pays 12% tax. In Alberta we pay 5% tax.

That is wonderful that your Aunt helps you, keep working on it and you will continue to get better with the math.
10 dollars for lettuce? That’s really expensive, in the uk we can buy a round lettuce for 50p
