I am an American woman and I absolutely love this Russian music. I wish we had younger musicians in America that sang with deeply like this. You have to go deep in the Appalachian mountains in the South to hear the American version of meaningful songs.

One of my grandfather lost 3 brothers the other 2. They were the only sons left when came home. They never talked much about it, but one of them told me he was so happy when a russian soldier changed his good tank(panzer)- pants with the old ones of my granddad in a prisoncamp on christmas. He never forgot that.
LOL this brings back memories! my very first apartment was super cheap, because it was in a ghetto. I had gangbangers living under my apartment and drug deals in front of my building. There was a swat raid on the building the day that I was moving out! People got their apartments broken into daily... It was a TERRIBLE neighborhood. NOTHING ever happened to me. I like to think that it was because of this music, because whenever I'd drive around my hood, I used to blast this song along with Kombat and other Russian music from the cold war, it honestly got to the point where people in that neighborhood used to stay away from me and not bother me. As I would drive by I'd shoot them a look, and they'd turn off their gangsta rap lol! ...Maybe they thought I was KGB... idk, but it was fun as hell.
Post-Soviet Russia sounds like the Wild West, that sounds crazy; but it sounds pretty cool roll down the windows while listening to Lyube in the car lol
