- Here a video how to fix the crash / reboot problem with the Motorola GM340 when receiving a DMR / TDMA (timeslot) signal.
Especially when u want to use a GM340 for a homebrew DMR repeater or hotspot, you don't want that the receiving GM340 crashes after a couple of seconds.
By changing Config Byte 2 to: "04" the squelch is debounced by four more cycles (5 instead of 1) to avoid radio resets caused by a message queue overflow when the squelch flutters.
I want to thank Matthew G7TEM for this info! ;)
Update 2020-11-01: Carlos M0HBK find out that the radio codeplug version 4 doesnt work with the configuration bytes.. Then he did a software upgrade to 8.1 and now it works!
He also was recommanded to set the Configuration Bytes 3 to 20.
so Carlos, Thank you for that information! we hope that it can help alot of HAM's! ;)
