The Museum asked if i could do some repairs on this, It'd had be knocked over and damaged and stuck in the back room behind a lot of other stuff I walked past it 3 times before I noticed it
Now it really stands out and looks awesome.
if you know museums or societies that have vintage stuff that want to be restored for free contact me

Wow Richard your certainly finding some great pieces. This one is huge, I didn't expect it to be that big. Outstanding restoration. Puts out a nice amount of light 👍
Glad you enjoyed it! when is your next one coming out?
@@richardrestorations not sure. My air compressor blew up last week so I'm waiting for parts to be be delivered so I can repair that first.
@@Austeration I know that feeling, pity i have a spare here you could loan
@@richardrestorations thanks I'll be around shortly and grab it if that's ok. I only just sold my old one about a month ago

Great hammer and dolly work.....
Thank you! Cheers!
I love these Tillley Hendon FL6 lights they used to use them during world war two as landing lights at night time on some of the airfields when damaged aircraft were coming in my dad was in the RAF he used to tell me some great stories What an absolute awesome restoration well done ❤️✅🍺
thanks for the encouragement😀CJ
Very good!
I'm from Americana SP Brasil.
Incredibly bright!! Great restoration!!
Thank you very much!
I like the way you do Restorations.
You try to take them back to original conditions.
I highly respect that.
It difficult to do sometimes.
Much respect.
Now, when I work on a project, I rarely go back to the original finish. I change colors and try to get the flashiest, shiny finish I can.
I add polish and plating.
I guess I'm the guy who gets distracted by the shiny objects.
thanks for the encouragement😀 while doing the Museum I try to make it authentic as possible .my own stuff the sky is the limit
@Richard Restoration Sometimes, you just want to make it purdy!
Seriously, in my to-do pile I have 3 bench grinders. Two will be as nice as I can make them and will live on the shelf as display pieces.
One will not be as pretty. It will be built for durability. That on gets bolted to the bench for use.
wow nice job sir
Thanks for your feed back cheers Richard 😀
Very nice Restore on that flood light 👍🏆
Thanks 👍Frank

This was so awesome! I've seen Tilley lamps before, but never one this big. Oh man that would be so cool to take camping. Great resto! I'm glad you brought it back to new, I know some museums don't do that but for this lamp it's totally worth it.
thanks man 👍

A Hellish restoration the fuel container alone looks like it took an age to sort out, do you realise you have a number one fan (possibly stalker)? I logged on and this vid was posted '6 minutes ago' you already had '1 like', I've just watched all 30 minutes and gave the '2nd like', I am not the stalker.😂
thanks Kevin
