Thank you so much Jelle! I never knew how important fall work was until I started bonsai. I do need to improve spray application - spring insects woke up very hungry this year. I've tried your recipe and am really happy with it.
Rollercoaster weather, here too. But more substantial frost is forecast for the next weeks so today I put all trees to the ground, so I do nto have to lug them in the dark.
Another very enjoyable video, Jelle! Your tips are very easy to understand and remember. Also I enjoy another Dutch person speaking English, always funny how we pronounce a lot of English words, it makes us very recognizable haha
Hello Jelle. For how long do you leave a repotted bonsai in a Shaded Area or in a Semi Shaded Area & then place it in an area where it gets full sunlight? Thank you.
hi mate long time subscriber here i can confirm i get notifications when you post videos .... i have a really big acer i need help with and would like you to have a look at it for me. i have got lots of pics. it was dug up in an emergency end of may and has flourished the nebari is 13 inches across. let me know if youre up for it please :)
I had to check, but it seems you are complaining that I did not reply to your message within 24 hours? You do realize this is not my job? I share what I know for free and in my own time, without a charge for you. And you then complain that I have not responded to your message? Guess what, I have a backlog of several hundred messages, as it can take over an hour per day to respond to each of them. I do not have an hour a day to spare. And in the weekend, guess what.. I work on my trees. With 32 comments on this video alone in 24hrs... maybe you could have imagined I do not answer within minutes. I do have a life besides youtube.
@@GrowingBonsai no not at all mate im not having a go at you for not replying in 24h but im clasping straws nobody is willing to even have a look my friend.. just a bit desperate as all else fails. just feel brushed to a side if you know what i mean. youre the first to even reply
Just realize that if you have someone who runs a youtube channel such questions come in all the time. I daily get emails with such questions. As I do not run a company I have no way to monetize such requests and in the end, the more I do for others, the less I can do for my own trees. And with a few hundred trees.. Do you not have a club in the region or a bonsai nursery where you could get some help? I am pretty swamped for the next 3 or so weeks tbh.
@@GrowingBonsai lol mate im not asking for monetising the tree. :) i think the acer is 1 of a kind.. look if you dont want to see pics of it fair enough.. ill have to find someone that can lend me a bit of imagination as its a big project that could use some different opinions. especially with a 13inch nebari :)

Great to hear! I do wish we get a decent winter reducing the spring loading a bit too.
Great tips Jelle. We've recently had some coldish weather, -4c but now we've spiked to 16c with heavy winds and rain. Thanks for the video

Thanks Jelle; interesting and informative as always
My pleasure!
Learning from you with each of your great videos!
Happy to hear that!
Thank you for the recipe. You make it look easy, wiring the little branches. Those are the ones I have a hard time with.
You can do it! Just wire wire wire.
Thank you for your good advice .
You are welcome! Thank you for continued visits!

Thank you! 😃
Nice selection of trees for this video Jelle :)
Thank you very much! Just another day in the bonsai garden :)
Really informative 👏
Thanks so much!
The potted plant in the background at the start of your video looks like a variegated Clivia miniata. I too have one.
It is not though :) it is a pot full of Amaryllus Bulbs I grew from seed. I am hoping for flowers this year.
Hadir om...
I am not sure what that means!

👍👌🙂
Thaaanks! :)
great video! Where do you store cuttings and young seedlings during winter? just outside with the other trees?
I do!
@@GrowingBonsai alright, thx for your reply 👍
Hi I am in the uk . Is it ok if I share your video to our clubs Facebook group? Keep up the great work your videos are amazing, very informative

Hallo Jelle welke algenreiniger gebruik ji???
I just use a commercial product from.the hardware store
@GrowingBonsai thanks Jelle!
What is your experience with this spray bottle? I bought the same one today
I have a whole bunch of them. After 2-3 years the nozzle gets mucky here and after 4-5 years seals give.
@ I have the same experience
What is the oil brand?
No Clue. It does not have any labels
Can i bring my newly purchased elm in greenhouse that iy goes in winter dormancy? Its about +10C ??
I would say 10C is possibly on the warm side but yeah, that would work
Do you find this spray more effective than Jin liquid? Most professionals use Jin liquid.
Why do you prefer this one?
to me it has a different purpose.
why do you take the leaves off? whats the difference if the tree just lose it itself
It is easier to spray the tree without leaves.
