I usually can't sit through long painting tutorials because of how strict and boring most people are. I've watched so many of yours all the way through and I never get bored. I adore your enthusiasm and the love you have for what you do. Young artists and people pursuing art for the first time, or seasoned painters even, benefit so so much from enthusiastic, loving, and encouraging artists like you. I love love love your tutorials and will continue to watch all of them! Thank you so much for making these tutorials and being such a patient, genuine person.

Hi Katie - The technique you use to approach the building block of this flower is exactly what I needed to see. You reiterate that important point I forget often, don't be afraid...just paint it. What's there to be afraid of? This is what keeps me from even trying so I thank you for this PERFECT video. I've been painting as a hobby for about 10 years and have yet to paint a flower with this many petals because I find it so daunting. Watching this video made me feel like I was just hanging out with a friend that is showing me great techniques. Thank you for putting me at ease. You're an excellent person and teacher.** Be well, gorgeous.

Watching you free hand the painting makes me anxious but some how you manage to make the end result so beautiful 🦋 I’m a perfectionist when I paint so it takes me forever and I go so slow with my brush strokes, but this has inspired me to try something different 💓

Katie, you are my bird of inspiration. I never studied art, but always wanted to learn how to paint. Within the last week, I painted acrylic peony and rose tutorials. Now, I am not only having a desire to paint, but am finally doing something to make my dream come true. Thanks to You!

I love that no matter what the medium is, you really do have to have quite a lot of faith that it’ll turn out in the end. Most paintings I’ve done on my channel, for the first....90% of it, I’ve thought it didn’t quite look right. But MAN, the finishing touches are always what seal the deal. You’re totally right that adding that white right at the end is what really makes it look good. This has been WONDERFUL to watch and follow along with, especially because acrylic is one of the mediums with which I’m least comfortable. You’ve made it make quite a lot more sense for me, and I really appreciate that. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the inspiration to try a much looser technique to painting. I usually make sure the object I am painting is drawn in first then I paint it. I'm going to try this method and see how I get on. You are a star 😊 ps I don't care you say "um" a lot (though I don't think you say it that much) I am also an amateur actor, so what? I still say "um" in my videos lol Life is not scripted. And we are benefiting greatly from a free tutorial. You keep doing what you are doing and most of all have fun in life 😊 life is far too short and full of critics who think they know best. In fact don't even listen to me if you don't agree 😉 what matters at the end of the day is that you are doing what you want and enjoy. Making RUclips videos especially art videos takes a lot of hard work and time. Have a fab day. Happy painting T X

Thank you for sharing this and others, I am self taught and stuck to abstracts for years. I then moved to landscapes, now I am looking to expand into more realistic paintings and I am finding your videos easy to follow and helpful as I can't draw. With your videos its not about being able to draw, but being able to layer things properly. Your channel makes me feel like I can actually improve and expand my artistic skills into what I have always wanted them to be.

Love, love, love this painting! But honestly, just love the way you teach and come across to us in all of your videos. Authentic, very talented and I love how you don't put too much pressure on us to make it perfect. Some of the other artists, I love their work, but I don't enjoy watching them anymore because they are so precise that it's impossible to think I could ever achieve that. I didn't think I liked abstract sort of paintings but yours are just the right balance of abstract but also realism. Sorry, I'm just a beginner so I probably don't make sense. 😃 At any rate, please, please keep making videos!! Much love from NC! 😊 OH, AND LOVE YOUR ACCENT! you probably get tired of hearing that but being from NC, I don't hear Australian (?) Often enough! 😊
