Exploring at Cypress Creek Nature Preserve

Exploring near Cypress Creek in Hillsborough County, Florida at Cypress Creek Nature Preserve. The area has an array of trails and off the beaten path places to explore. It’s a beautiful wilderness where you can see wildlife if you venture around. Along the way I discover some interesting history, perhaps an old fish camp? I’m not sure but it’s just one of many layers of history throughout the wilderness here. The 2500-acre Cypress Creek Nature Preserve is part of a vast wildlife corridor which extends into Pasco and Polk Counties. Cypress Creek drains into the Hillsborough River and thus provides important water quality benefits to the region. Natural habitats within the preserve include hardwood forests and swamps, pine flatwoods, wet prairies, cypress stands and freshwater marshes.

The rain has sure helped on such a hot season. Have you ever done the old railroad trail? / walk from Like Gainesville to Cedar Key ? Lots of interesting historical spots .
