Loved the game!
It's funny because it looks like they gave him the animated armor but with Republic Commando game proportions. It is kinda disappointing that he didn't come with the grenade launcher attachment for the DC-17m (the bigger blaster) and while the DC-15s pistol is cool, I'd rather they give that to Boss and give Scorch the grenade launcher.

It's interesting you brought up the white republic commando figure at your HK visit and how the prototype didn't get talked about. I actually wishlisted the commando figure on the sideshow website so I can get the pre-order alert (the same time that Scorch was up for pre-order) and went back to get a "we can't find this product" every time I loaded that page. It sounds like something is happening behind the scenes there. Also thanks for explaining your theory about Scorch's design, makes a lot of sense

You’re right about the licensing but there aren’t levels of cannon like there used to be. Nowadays anything eu or anything outside the movies is just not canon until some Disney project acknowledges it.

Going forward, HT needs to do this "visor" paint effect whenever they can on figures. It looks really good non illuminated. Hot Toys, drop some more sweet sweet Commandos to make a squad.
The only 2 things that grind my gears.... the lack of hand options and the toe not being articulated.. The yellow line on the boot would have been a natural hinge point. Great figure and review Justin. 😁

While Scorch color pops out and make the figure look very nice. I don't want them to make the other Delta. Reason? I have the black series version and only Scorch look good... the rest not so much aside Boss since he has no extra stuff on him. If they follow the clone wars color and accessory, they going to look very... awkward like you have that "something not right" feeling. Great review btw :)
Maybe they can add in some of the extra gear
The Black series commando mold is not accurate at all, unfortunately. All of them are just a reuse of hunters body that are different from the commando armor

Just folded and bought one (don’t wanna talk about the price). I really don’t mind the proportions of this guy, just wish they got some of the design elements correct. Forearms, biceps, crotch, and knees specifically. Everything else looks great to me. I honestly think the OG RCs were comically bulky, still cool just impractical.

such a damn shame that probably every Republic Commando we see for the forseeable future will be based off of the questionably proportioned portrayals in the bad batch. I really cant stand how they look. They just hardly even look like clones to me. Even being *slightly* bulkier, they still just look *way too thin*. Idk, even battlefront had a solid portrayal of them.

anyways, it's a solid figure, just a larger gripe i have with starwar's treatment of commandos recently.

I never played Commando BUT now that we got this version of Scorch maybe there's a chance they will release the other version of him some day. Also while I may not have played the game...Ik for a fact they definitely did Scorch dirty lol

They blow their chances to get Scorch justice with accurate look from a Game. I know it base on Animation to pair with those Bad Batch but his realistic accurate look was there on the source material from Previous title like SWBF2, Republic Commando or Novel cover HT should do better job than this. But I get him btw only a Delta Member.

@@CloneCommanderCrater1102there’s a ton of inaccuracies on this figure, let’s give it the benefit of being “animated” for a moment. basically every armor piece here is wrong for a animated commando, the only parts here that work are the chest plate, backpack and debatable the boots. the rest is just hunter armor, so it has inaccurate details.
@poky3933 I am specifically talking about the backpack. He listed it as his second annoying thing in the video but then said that it had no inaccuracies with it, so I'm just confused as to why he listed it as an annoyance.

I got so sick of Bad Batch honestly and the end with Scorch was slso the last straw for me on Disney Star Wars, I'm never watching anything else they go. So much disrespect.
I played Republic Commando countless times, flew around in ghost mode just to see how the game worked behind the scenes. Scorch was the only figute from the squad for a long time. I love those commandos!!!
