    What a beautiful story. Benin kingdom is the most prolific in the whole of Africa. Let's try to bring back the history of the great Benin kingdom through our culture and tradition, let's not embrace the white man's culture.

    Well in summary, she strategically reinstalled the supposed king to take over his father ‘s throne as tradition demands or am I missing out? I love Benin and I pray peace , fairness and prosperity encompass this great kingdom ! The land of my fathers ! May God continually build this kingdom through men and women.

    What about the story of Emotan coming from the spirit world to Agbado market and was a wife to Ekpeti in the other world.
    It was use to sing and the song is still in the market today. "OTEGHE UNION"
    Which one is correct Enekpen?

    • @nebotv99
      @nebotv99  2 года назад +1

      Some people said, Emotan was a spirit. But historical records state that Emotan was a wife of a human Chief in the palace during the reign of Oba Ewuare. I still don't understand why we have two versions of Emotan story

    The 4 princes names are hard to pronounce and addition to spelling their names. Though why did they younger prince wanted to kill the senior prince simply bcos of position or power and kingship? Great 👍 story though .

    Nice story . Only that I do not understand the names this Chief was calling . Am I lost as benin a man in the name of travel ? Great bini kingdom! I must come home soon . Hope to find a good benin woman to marry bear kids too.

    I love the story but it's not adding up. How can the two brothers be Oba in their own time? And the other two brothers Prince Ogu and Irhuge ran away. Why were they running? They crowned the younger brother the Oba but still, he's talking about Oba Uwaifiokun. Can anybody help?

    What are the meanings of Uwaifiokun and Emotan , are they Bini names?

    • @touchnot7334
      @touchnot7334 6 лет назад +13

      Kris I. Emotan was her nick name which actually was Enemitan, meaning kind of lazy or not active.
      Uwaifiokun mean wealth cannot Divide the river. They are both Bini names. I just interpreted it to my own understanding, I give me a 👍🏽 though for my effort.

    To add more, on ascension to the Throne, Oba Ewuare 1 renamed the kingdom from igodomigodo to Edo in honor of the slave that rescued him. That how the Benins became known as Edos and Edo state got its name from there

    • @felixota1889
      @felixota1889 2 года назад

      Edo as name to Ibinu comes from the begining of the world. Edos are from nile valley to our pressent day location. check Edomite location in old map. Brother EDO language and behavour is all over the world. But i cannot tell you Edo is first group of people on earth.
      Ancient EDOS defined spiritualism that was copied by others religions. So you should have basic knowledge of what you say or serves.
