- What's it like to live in the most futuristic neighborhood of New York. Shopping, dining, landmarks and residential apartments.
February 2024 Update:
The developer Related Companies' proposal for a Hudson Yards casino would entail three skyscrapers, an office tower and more than 1,500 units of housing to be built on a platform above the undeveloped Western Rail Yards - amounting to a $12 billion investment, according to plans filed with the city this week.

I went to a friend's apartment way up in the top and his living room window is from ceiling to floor, so when I entered his living room, I fainted due to my acrophobia 🤣
And if the window breaks, you're screwed until they fix it. Horrible concept.
@@tatumpiano8569 I always imagined that if it breaks we'll all be sucked out like if it was space. 🤣
The fact that Hudson Yards was built off the money used to build new developments in Harlem is insane and wicked.
that’s why it’s low vibe energy there ppl kill them self’s cause it’s a satanic triangle void
By building on top of a rail yard, instead of in established communities in Harlem, means less gentrification and pushing people out of their homes. How is this wicked?
Links please .....are you making this stuff up ? Never heard anyone even mention a connection to Harlem except you.
@@sthelensson If it is THEIR homes/property (and not a rental) then forcing them out of their homes (and I do mean by force) is indeed evil/wicked. No one should be able to force you to give up your private property. If the property is not their own but, in fact, someone else's (landlord's) then it is just as evil/wicked to force a landlord to give up his/her property (or potential income) from it because his/her tennants demand to occupy his/her private property thus taking private property away from the legitmate owner. Unfortunatly, all too often, those who cry wicked when something is done to them are all too happy to do the wicked act to others when they themselves benefit.

Would not live there because it is so windy and only the 7 line runs there but I absolutely love visiting the neighborhood. Modern, new and clean. Cant wait for Phase 2
There will be no affordable housing. That’s all a ruse to get the money to build condos for the rich.
Please there is no affordable housing now… everyone is moving just to find something for their little budget… everyone is out priced in NY.
Nothing is Hudson Yard will be affordable
“Affordable housing” is a scam run by politicians on the voters.
It used to be that almost anyone could live in NYC, including poor immigrants.
Well, thanks to government housing laws, they made it unaffordable for anyone but the very wealthy.
If we had a free market in housing, there would be housing available at all price points.
My question is why the hell would you wanna live in this petri dish of viruses and other assorted bad things that could possibly happen to you?
Affordable after next crash.
They can move to parts of Queens or Bronx.
This is a Disneyfied version of New York. It’s just a suburban office park with skyscrapers.
The future
This is so futuristic! You’re surrounded all by steel and glass. The shapes of building amaze me. I would not live there, but it’s tempting to stay there for a week or month )) Thank you, Kirill, amazing overview as usual ✨
you would get sick of it after a day. it has zero personality
This is so informative! I never realised there was so much going on in Hudson Yards, this video really brought the benefits of living there to light.
Can’t wait for your next video
Keep making videos. Your natural at this. Great voice, nice content, sharp editing.
Thank you! More to come.
Just discovered your channel. Beautifully made so well explained. I have family coming in, so this is absolutely perfect for them to view. All the best.
Rich family
I used to work in Hudson Yards as a Risk Response Agent. After 5 people jumped off of the vessel the yards feel evily tainted. A very dark energy consumes you when around the vessel and the constant feeling of something bad happening lingers.
Do you ride the trains/LIRR ? People have gone back to jumping in front of trains and off of bridges since vessel was closed. It might serve you better in life if you try and get your fantasies under control.
@3markaw Are you trying to stop "free speach" because you don't like what was said.
Where did I say this person should not be allowed to speak ? The idea that someone uses any inanimate object to end their life and then that object has dark energy is fantastical. If you don't understand english well then better not waste time making a comment.@@fflubadubb
You really gotta have some serious dough to even own one!!!😮😮
Well that’s where the world is headed.
If you’re not the no percentage of the wealthiest … oh well!
As someone who lives in Hudson Yards, I have to say its one of my least favorite neighborhoods in the city. All rental apartments starting prices at $5,000 at least, there is no history in the neighborhood, as it is brand new and only caters to the super rich. Hudson Yards after 7pm daily has not a whole lot to offer other than nice views if you are lucky to live in one of the expensive condos buildings.
Good. Who needs the rest?
You couldn't see that before you moved in ? But thanks for the heads up . Drive on the roads around NY/NJ. Looking at the cars that people are driving you will see most of the rich have way more money than brains.
Very impressive !!! But we are seeing the future of NYC. A future in which only the Rich can afford to live in NYC.
75% of NYC is the working class. only Manhattan south of 125 st. and 3 or 4 areas along the water in brooklyn as well as LIC are high end.
The rich need to live somewhere too.
@@StevenGundry-py3pm They don't need to force the rest of us out of the city.
It’s a dump. Very cold and windy but the water.loaded with tourists. Horrible neighborhood.
Yeah. I literally recognized that when I went to New York (before seeing this video). All of downtown manhattan looks shiny and sleek, NY is the best city in the world after all.
I guess, all superrich own penthouses in New York. No one in that net worth range would mind the heaves of tourists below them, awaiting their black chauffeur vehicle.
Bro looks like a saints row characters 😂
You live in your mind and it's free
And to think that was all an empty lot south of the Javitz Center
New York is truly a concrete jungle full of surprises and yes I mean the rats and crackheads too but other nice stuff as well.
I live in the Midwest and live in a nice house (3 bedroom, 2.5 bathrooms) in a quiet neighborhood. My mortgage is $850.00 a month.
I say that to say this, there is NO place in New York City that is worth living for the amount of rent paid for even a studio apartment in the South Bronx, let alone these apartments.
but you live in the middle of nowhere…
Buddy people want to live in some place that’s worth it. You have work, play, and eat all within a block or two of you and a short 10 minute subway ride for even more stuff. It is worth it once you add in all the additional benefits you get. Most people do not want to live in the midwest especially not in the suburbs lmao
@@lanxy2398 "....work, play, and eat all within a block or two" exists in the midwest too. It is just that the population will be smaller.
That’s disgusting that much for affordable housing there’s a lot of other neighborhoods that could use that money a lot
Affordable housing is an oxymoron there. It's a ruse to get funding.
how disgusting could it be? isn't nyc is a city that even houses migrants in 4 star, $300 a night hotel rooms? apparently, nyc does everything high end.
Wow. I would have liked seeing the view at night from one of those sky high apartments, it must be spectacular!
That’s where they filmed Westworld season 4
Way too pricey
Too many people clumped together tives me anxiety for some reason. Ill take the 5M and live like a king in the countryside
Thats what I like about northern bergen county nj. Only 17 miles from manhattan and parts of it are like the countryside.
Weak mindset
He’s good looking!.!.
Love the design, however, the only thing I like about Manhattan is the shopping
The problem with Hudson Yards is there's nothing there. A few high end shops and restaurants, but no delis, bars, bagel shops or pizzerias.
Good vid nice editing tx
That a good video of videoing Hudson yard
The prices are astronomical. Only seasoned business owners, Medical Doctors, Computer Scientists, and Financial Engineers would be able to afford this after like 15 years of work. Def not for young people.
actually, it does not include me but a number of young folks just out of college graduating with majors in the right tech fields can afford such rents or mortgages right out of the gate.
And what happens when the homeless take over and your property value plummets?
Buying an apartment must be the dumbest thing you can do. 😂 3M to 35M in a building you don’t own?
Some people want to live in the middle of the city🤯
I can't have a serious discussion in a RUclips comment section. And certainly not with your username.
Interesting but I don’t think it’s worth living in the city you can get better deal outside of the city.
You’re so handsome btw 🥰
Why should the federal government pay for this? This is a city and state issue for New York
Price gouging is sickening.
It IS a nice area. I visit often; was instantly aware this area was swanky. Just didn’t know how much.
The Vessel is awesome, gotta actually get in there one day. It’s sad those suicides happened; leaving a bad mark for the victim’s families and visitors alike. But overall….yeah no average person can live here, even IF Phase 2 is completed.
What the hell. Please don’t give the developers 2 billion in federal money. Wtf? We need to hold them to accountable to build the phase 2 project out of their own pockets. And force them to do it even if it costs them. The city already built them a fancy train station, gave them tax breaks on the land etc. that 2 billion better be used in some of the airport or subway improvement projects for the rest of the city or for building things like David Adaje’s 1500ft affordable housing skyscraper.
You're very handsome . You give me Jude Law vibes. The prices are outrageous. Viewing this July of 23 , with the world in so much chaos , I hope things gets worked out so that you can continue to bring us all informative videos. We are living in trying times . 😻🌹💕
Honestly though it looks like South Yarra in Melbourne
Imagine spending $30 billion on a development and you end up with awful Hudson Yards with hideous gimicky buildings of glass and steel in a sterile environment
Almost won a unit there off Nyc housing connect I withdrew bye mistake smh so maddd
Guess west side will have a better view after it is finished
That vessel thing, since the higher levels are closed, why don't they just turn it into a green building and put plants in it
So are there any deadlines for that affordable housing section? I ask because in Queens they are finally going to build a soccer stadium for NYCFC. It will not be built until 2027. This way the affordable housing, is also scheduled for that land, will be built first.
The only reason people want to live there is because it's exclusive...like a country club or a night club that only lets certain people inside.
100 WHOLE UNITS of affordable housing?!! I’m glad to see the $6 billion in tax subsidies is paying dividends for all NYers. I think they should open the vessel back up though. Jumping could be a fun consolation prize if you don’t win the affordable lottery.
Btw no hate to the video creator- vid is well done. I think the development of the area was foolishly mismanaged, but I’m glad we’ll have an example to highlight next time a former Lehman exec who’s somehow responsible for urban development suggests that a playground for his yacht club buddies is just what the people of NY need bc of tax revenues or some other myopic nonsense.
c'mon, nyc is a city in which even the migrants live in 4 star hotels with restaurants, gyms and pools.
@@adifferenttake8351 lol where’d you get that idea? Look up the new temporary shelter for migrants in Red Hook. Maybe they’re waiting till it’s warmer to install the pool?
@@JCStanesco Red hook is Red Hook and the Watson Hotel on Billionaires Row is the Watson Hotel on Billionaires Row. One doesn't have to make up these things. There are 14 Manhattan hotels which have been leased by the city . Another 55 hotels, as in 55 hotels. have been leased by the city from the hotel association of NYC. The point is gov'ts waste money across the board. Why pick on Hudson Yards?
@@adifferenttake8351 Kuz that money kould be been used to house more homeless instead of making anything at all for the rich. If they’re so rich why use the tax money? Why not just use their own pocket money and bank account to build their own shit so no one could complain
Hands down one of my favorite areas in the city! … I live at that Equinox. I’ll come looking for you when I win the powerball 🥲
There's always a high cleaner and maintenance man turnover rate at Hudson yards
No families, no long lines. Close to Jackson Heights redlight district.
Ok
I mean its the cleanest street of NY but is it worth it tho spending so much money for a unit
Seems a bit fancier neighborhood than The Hole.
I'm glad I got out of there. Some good times, some not so . just not worth it.
Needs solar or green on the roofs. I would never live that high though .. never
2010s was a boring decade for architecture
Hey what’s a great way to waste my money the fastest? Oh I know let’s go live in Hudson yards!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How is it a waste of money if you have that much money, that exactly what they do with it.
its the most expensive place without a soul that you can ever imagine. there is a reason people used that beehive to end it. the whole place is a succubus of negative vibes and represents the worst in development and urban planning.
허드슨 야드 관리비 존나 비쌈. 그게 단점임.
Wait I think I remember your face or maybe it's because I'm high. But weren't you the dude that was on Ask Wendy or am I tripping?
Just what NYC needs another unaffordable neighborhood @
Real Estate investors are using loans to buy and rent from themselves causing mass poverty.
Hudson Yards
The whole area is a museum affordable hahahah

Steve from Minecraft head 😂
I would not want to live in a house with floor to ceiling walls. They can break...give me regular walls. This futuristic theme is so fake. Doesn't feel like a neighborhood. Not welcoming like other neighborhoods. So sterile! I'll take a tree lined quiet street in the village or Park Slope where people know their neighbors.
Tear down anything historic and build ugly condos?
Just came here to say lol
Feels a bit soulless and fake. I bet there is no atmosphere at night. Doesn't feel like a classic New York neighbourhood. If you can afford to live here then you can afford better classic neighbourhoods.
Ridiculous
This guy is creepy gay even more than just the average
Pretty sure your not supposed to say things like that anymore, homes.

More affordable housing lol. Project 2 might not happen. You are bad at your job my man
All around this place is homeless and needles.
Wonder how it would b to b rich like that. .
Way to pricey for apartments that look the same as any other apartments… there beautiful…. Buuuttt for 5 million you could have a bigger home with land as well. New York is way over rated…
supemarkets, dive bars, ordinary people and not tourists every time you step outside... oh yeah... manhattan! Naw, i prefer brooklyn.
How much is that tennis that guy that speaks Chinese playing spy CIA. Yes
Blonde haired guy with glasses I don’t want to speak Chinese just so I could laugh at them
